I think they were a bit pre-occupied with internal matters. Now with that resolved and NK's seeming advance in Nuclear & Missile tech, it is time to look to the external.
Pneumonic plague is I believe airborne/through infectious droplets so usually from coughing up tissue etc. Touching dead infected animals or people causes septicaemic and bubonic plague. Bubonic plague is the one we usually think of, with the swollen, black lymph nodes. But this is mostly pneumonic plague.
And his supporters over here just eat it up. The U.S. is slowly being isolated because the world can't fully trust us at the moment. This economic isolationism is only going to strengthen other nations economic standing and will probably cause some sort of economic recession in the United States. We've essentially placed economic sanctions on ourselves and it will force other nations to find othe…
>You gotta be kidding me. Do such thing/proposal even exist in a business world?
Sure it does. Companies all the time negotiate deals that say "if you want to buy our products, you have to agree that we'll become your sole supplier."
So the buyer has to decide whether it's worth it to him to have ONLY coke, or have no Coke at all.
The basic standard for international trade for 50 years h…
Actually Norway was doing that. They stopped because corrupt countries like Brazil don't give a damn about upholding agreements and would destroy the amazon anyways.
Tbf if you want to set up a camera with facial recognition tech it's not that hard or expensive.
>Catastrophes such as cyclones Idai and Kenneth in Mozambique and the drought afflicting India make headlines around the world. But large numbers of “lower impact events” that are causing death, displacement and suffering are occurring much faster than predicted, said Mami Mizutori, the UN secretary-general’s special representative on disaster risk reduction. “This is not about the future, thi…
People have no idea what herd immunity is or how it works. It's just words they like to parrot so they can seem informed when they have no idea.
All it does is just automate the biases of whoever built it, or whoever generated its training data. But now because it's a computer there's an air of "oh well it can't be biased it's a machine".
These three provinces together hold ~28% of the population, for comparison Ontario alone holds ~38% and Quebec alone ~23%. How does this data represent “all of Canada”? It doesn’t.
Never ever ever will AI get sole control over which humans live and which ones die. All sorts of civil liberties group would be up in arms as well as victims of the choice and their families. No one would would complain if it just advised but sole control? I don’t care how much better at decision making it is.
I can understand Drug Dealer and Preacher, but idk about Prostitutes. After I saw the show "Humans", there was a part where this human got a bunch a female robots and pimped them out, and it made me think twice about it. Everytime we get new technology of some kind someone uses it for some sort of sexual purpose, so I wouldn't be surprised if we had Robot Prostitution in the future.
Uh oh there's a certain popular YA novel with a very prominent ~~murderous~~ very pragmatic AI named Aiden.
There is literally no way to prevent it.
You leave your biometric data all over the place simply by interacting with the world.
You can punish entities for doing so but eventually individuals are gonna have tech to do it themselves.
There’s a theory that when AI overtakes humans they will be kinder to those that enabled AI to advance to such a stage.
Maybe India is playing the long game.
It will be interesting to see if AI are compatible with the strict censorship model that CCP policy mandates.
You probbably could, but it would take a good bit of time and a skilled developer guiding the process
Notice how in the above posts the "websites" AutoGPT creates are just simple HTML forms which you could create yourself in like 10 mins or less, meanwhile it took the guy like an entire day to setup the prompts lol
This technology is incredibly impressive dont get me wrong but a person is gonna…
Dr Amanda Calhoun, an expert on the mental health effects of racism in the medical field, stated that the quality of ChatGPT therapy compared to IRL therapy depends on what it is modelled after. “If ChatGPT continues to be based on existing databases, which are white-centered, then no,” she told Motherboard. “But what if ChatGPT was ‘trained’ using a database and system created by Black mental he…
TLDR: So you guy's don't have to click
"the copyright office affirmed that most works generated by AI aren’t copyrightable but clarified that AI-assisted materials qualify for protection in certain instances. An application for a work created with the help of AI can support a copyright claim if a human “selected or arranged” it in a “sufficiently creative way that the resulting work consti…
This is such a clickbaity headline... Suleyman has never attempted to hide it - he's one of the few AI chiefs that has consistently warned about it and tried to make the argument that states need to get ready for the transition now.
He gave an interview on the Leading podcast a few months ago where he specfically spoke about this!
