This is exactly what I’ve been saying about Ai “artists” for forever. Not even getting into whether or not it’s actually ai, Ai “artists” are really more like commissioners, who tell the “Ai” what to make, and then do no more work for the art. The microwave chef analogy is perfect for this.

10:19 To be fair, every Tesla owner should secretly appreciate this fully autonomous car park.

No wonder why 45 has stated that the USA needs Greenland & Canada……. they need the LAND for AI Data Centers besides other natural resources….. “Greater Kudu LLC” in New Mexico - META’s AI DataCenter Elon’s DataCenter (Colossus) - “35 UNLICENSED Methamphetamine Turbines” in Memphis, TN. These CORRUPT AS*HOLES are literally killing off humanity …. and what can WE DO?

The fact billionaires are pushing AI without talking about the impact on jobs and society suggests their plan for the poor is extinction. Epstein said it explicitly and intimated several of his billionaire friends agreed.

The benefit of it in the medical field is the quick response time. When doctors don’t know a diagnosis, they have to do hours of reading looking at the hundreds of possible differential diagnoses and exclude each one, all this research takes time. If AI can get good enough to cut out a lot of the differentials then they can narrow down possibilities faster and perform more direct diagnostic tests…

On the Gartner Cycle; I think it’s still on the downward to the Trough. Everyone was so fast to jump on the AI bandwagon without thoughtful analysis. All those software engineers that were let go will get higher offers coming back. Leaving companies with AI systems they paid for and still paying employees. To apply a quote from Dr Ian Malcolm, ‘Companies were so preoccupied with whether they …

So, basically all those LLM models were trained giving them free access to the archives of the guardian?

ai art is going to die like the nft, they claim it’s the future, yet cope and seethe when people point out it literally isn’t, in the overly slim chance it does become the future, it will have consumed itself to the point of churning out slop that makes the original dall e mini look like fine art in comparison

Excellent and meaningful use of AI. The agriculture sector is indeed in need of IT to grow the yield and save from natural calamities.

I am a data engineer settled in Melbourne. AI is not something you can rely on. The world is on the brink of recession because of the AI bubble that will burst. Keep reading news and articles about what is happening around. Internet is filled with AI slop. Heard of Deloitte who had to return half a million dollars because they made a report for the govt that was filled with errors and references …

AI artists will consider themselves artists until they’re personally sued for copyright infringement. Then it’ll be “I just typed something. The machine made the image”.

+Jacob Harrison That's a great idea, but we still have to account for people who can't afford self driving vehicles.

@Riesenfriese thats not even speaking about how AI could do science too. Not saying it can now, but I wouldnt say its impossible, so then what?

*ENGINEER HERE* - I love how so many of the comments on this page are being realistic. I know one of these people is TOTALLTY FULL OF SHIT when they make a ridiculous statement like _"Its going to be here in a few years."_ The list of technologies that people have made these sorts of claims for is long but it includes nuclear fusion, flying cars, colonies on the Moon and Mars to name a few. My d…

I'm an artist who thinks this "No to A.I." movement is largely emotionally-based panic. But I do greatly appreciate your rational view given here and agree with most of it. The only caveat I find here is that, at least here in the Western Hemisphere, I see no way one can enforce laws against A.I. technology merely analyzing existing copyrighted works without it also affecting human artists from…

Definately, there are a lot of celebrities' voice clones out there, but most of these sites have made it clear in their policies on how to use these clones socially. Though I don't know how the issue of using someone else's voice for personal use is positioned legally.
