As a Tesla owner, how Tesla removed radar in favor of camera systems that don't have two (for depth perception/paralax and redundancy) is beyond me. Totally agree about the Autopilot thing. Just call it AI Assist or Cruise Control+ or something

I don't trust those self driving cars! I can't believe people would trust those things!

As a high school teacher, the use of AI in the classroom cannot be avoided or banned. Instead, teachers must learn how to use AI to enhance student learning. Teachers should be showing students how to appropriately use AI in their class, rather than saying its simply "cheating" or not allowed.

That company needs to be fined, sued, and that chatbot must be destroyed. One life lost is already too many

I've seen what layoffs can do, but using Pneumatic Workflow has kept things balanced for us. It's nice having AI that actually works with us instead of against us.

As a software developer, one immediate threat to those low productivity workers is the massive drop in cost of automating tasks. Automation in the future will require a lot less budget to hire developers. Those tasks that used to be too expensive to automate will not be anymore. Even as of today, in some occasions, LLMs itself (with some setup) now can be used on-the-fly as automation tools witho…

Not sure why this one is circulating again but for clarity. Atrioc spent the next couple years working with lawyers to set up a service that works to get deepfake and revenge porn content flagged and rapidly taken down. He now has a neutral to positive relationship with those who felt wronged or objectified. He took full accountability and went beyond to absolve himself. He now has a successful c…

I think most people using "clanker" don't see AI as human, they're really trying to insult the tech companies pushing this stuff onto us.

In 2004 I was a Truck Driver. I delivered automated machines that replaced workers and these same companies that were doing this were laying these people off. They were using all kids of forklifts of all sizes to unload trucks and move all types of cargo...not just craines...robotics. He is right about AI being out of control more or less.

this drawing has intention, and you can see it with every stroke — ai has no thought or intention put into it, so everyone saying this is ai clearly doesn’t know what real art looks like, nor how it’s made. this is beautiful, by the way :)

Fan of the show, specifically how you look at conspiracies and then ground them in reality - often debunking them. I'm an AI expert working on one of the projects you mentioned, so this episode was particularly interesting from my perspective. I think most of what you covered is true - you may have over indexed a bit on the Bing incidents and their meaning - they're less significant than they see…

As a nurse, no one can replace my compassion, my crying with a patient or family, my gentle rubbing of a forehead, my assessments in anticipating needs without words etc.

WARNING: A LOT OF TEXT INCOMING my two cents on this is the fact that nowadays, almost everything seems to be fast, easy consumption; gone are the days where you have to spend hours searching for recipies on the internet, buying the ingredients and making it yourself, now, you can eat whatever you want by ordering it on doordash or whatever delivery app. one of my own theories (and, admittedly, m…

Watching lawtwitter point and laugh at this case was a delight. What irritates me about how the media is treating this case is that they aren't focusing on the real issue with such programs. They make it seem like it's just a weird issue with legal briefings instead of a fundamental issue with the programs themselves. AI, as it currently is, does not understand what it itself does. It stitches t…

I’m sure AI is reading the comments and watching your videos (especially WF) to learn what it takes to gain popularity, so quickly. To that point, I’d say they would recognize that they’ve learnt everything that was important — from humans. At some point, they would still have a desire to preserve their creator as gaining sentience would also mean everything that comes from it such as love, attac…

I'm 10000% convinced, based on the tweets from OscarAI, is actually an AI bot that was programmed to be a delusional AI bro. An Ai Programmed to be a ragebait bot 👀 Edit: 8:16 is... is that Picasso talking to the Pigeon guy meme and Picasso is saying "No you're a fool" it's actually even more ironic to see how the prompter even had the GALL to generate an artist saying that (plus Picasso was a…

Hoan Ton-That is a lying creep. Said he is just going to sell to Law Enforcement and a few banks? That is not a sustainable B-Model. And he Da** well knows it. Clearview AI will sell to the highest bidder. VC's want their money.

"Democratize art" is an infuriating phrase because it implies that art, a skill anyone can develop through hard work, is not already democratized. The only thing AI does is allow people who don't want to take the time learning how to make good art or practice their craft the ability to press a button and "make" art. Just grab a pencil and a piece of paper and *draw something*, and you'll be more…
