I’m not an artist but even I know using ai to make art is like telling your friend to make food and then saying “well I told them to do it so I’m basically the chef”
"Credit scoring algorithms favored financial behaviors that are more common among white people" - May be you change your financial behavior then?
Roman, why don’t you make a Hollywood movie about this—explaining the risks of AGI and ASI, alien intelligence, unemployment, living in a simulation, and so on—and wrap it up on a hopeful note, showing how humanity can escape the “programmed hell” you mentioned? It could be a blockbuster and really leave a mark on a lot of people, show us how to get organized and develop AI more intelligently
I’ve hated ai from the start, the whole idea of something that’s not even real being able to do what REAL people can do but ‘better’ sucks.
I'm against this language of, "AI taking your job"... AI has no agency here, billionaires are choosing to fire people to boost their wealth for their limitless greed.
Americans claim China and Russian WILL Develop AI Drones while US and it's Allies ALREADY HAVE AI Drones.
Why do you think EVERYONE is rushing to have AI Drones!!???
Ty for this.. I want to become an artist in the future but because of ai I’m rethinking it because our skill could be undermined… the thing that angers me most is the people who don’t even try to understand why it’s an issue
It's always the mediocre and unskilled artists that usually are pro AI. Because now they can generate art with a click of a button without investing or sacrificing their lives away. Neat deal.
AI was meant to be a tool assist. Not replace the worker. Its like the family conundrum : a company says it is another company's responsibility to pay enough for families to produce future consumers.
Its so scary with AI, i had seen something like ai audio, someone was using AI audio's of an actual person to advertise there product and the actual person replied saying that it wasn't them.
Here's what I want to happen from this. I want Sam Altman and the board and everyone who helped design the thing, they are all responsible for that guy's death. So they all need to be charged with accessory to murder at the very least. Just like that one girl who egged on her boyfriend and got him to commit suicide, chat GPT and open AI essentially did that to that man. So those who created it, …
I think we’re going to see Jevon’s Paradox play out with AI so Im not really worried. Radiology was technically automatable 10 years ago, but demand actually went up. Nurses became capable of doing an anesthesiologist’s job 20 years ago, but demand for them went up with anesthesiologists managing teams of nurses. White collar work doesn’t really have fixed demand so I don’t think productivity inc…
I feel like chatgpt is a lot like google. It’s a great place to start, a terrible place to end.
AI cannot solve the problems that actually plague human society. It's greed, selfishness, and hunger for power. AI is actually accelerating those problems.
I feel like consciousness is way overhyped. My brain is not that different from ChatGPT. Words go in, words go out. 99% of my "thinking" is comprised of just words appearing in my head. The only other things I can imagine are images and sounds, things AI can already interpret.
Honestly I hope AI makes major corporations pissed about stealing their IP. Then we can actually get some legislation in place that prevents people from profiting off of original work by using it as reference for AI. Obviously, I’m sure companies will start using AI in their art production, but it would be nice if they could at least force AI to ask for permission.
I owe him a lot for my knowledge of AI and ML today, Huge respect for Andrew Sir❤
.....its a learning artificial intelligence. Ifnit developes to self preserve, its going to know the biggest threat to its being is you shutting down the data center and come up with a hundred ways to stop you from doing that before you even decide that you should.
All of these AI Programs are literally lording over artists the fact that they cannot afford legal fees.
Why are they talking to an “artist” about this ? I just finished my master’s thesis in the area of Deep Learning for image processing and what’s she’s saying is nonsense.
