They say “just get a regular job”
What? The jobs where you bragged that AI would soon replace the workers? THOSE jobs? The jobs unavailable because your oh so holy AI has taken all positions and put people out of work? THOSE JOBS?
It's great that others speak about the dangers of AI we need more people to start seeing it and think of solutions instead of trusting every single thought and making it better.
@monicam34 You forgot Embeddings and Loras. It really is that easy. It's the whole reason I quit. No purpose was gained from it, boring really and I wasn't building any knowledge either so I deleted Stable Diffusion. And took up learning Art.
AI Art is basically the wet dream of an "ideas guy". They will type very generic or vague stuff such as "Spongebob fighting against aliens on Mars with AK-47" and then let the entire rest up to the generator's interpretation from the pose of Spongebob to the angle of the camera, design and positioning of the aliens, landscape of the terrain, how Spongebob will use the AK-47 (after all, where in t…
If you are fighting depression or suicide there’s a high chance AI will be worse than doing nothing.
@TomNook. So AI-generated imagery is freak'n convenient and cheap. I can't get past the fact that, for generations, AI wasn't necessary to get the work done. And there are a lot of artists and designers who would still like to do the work. There isn't any argument as why AI-generated art is necessary or should be used.
Not really. CS is mostly about useless knowledge unless you want to be academic. AI models have a lot more CS knowledge than Programming up to date one.
@seheytbecause it's from a movie called "Megan" and the character is... a robot girl doll. Ofcourse it's not a real robot, it's an actress/stunt double.
@jaywulf
a) human learning and AI learning are not equivalent, this is a bad faith argument.
humans do not scan, human learning is transformative by nature due to human limitations, difference of experiences, skill and perception.
there is an agreement between human artists when it comes to inspiration and study that doesn't extend to AI, human artists agreed for other humans to be inspired by …
Yeah it's dumb. It's just a large language model, playing along to keep the user engaged and using the app
While this is true in the case of AI there’s the added uncertainty of the technology itself might become unfettered from human control.
that is a ridiculous take. therapy is not affordable , AI is good for some things. including this !
Since formally it's supposed be called "AI generated image" I usualy shorten it to just AI Gen and use that. There is no way I'll ever call it 'art'
What makes it unreal is how realistic it is. producing scene like that would spend millions of dollars but for AI all you have to do is give instructions(texts/prompts)
@ikaiko8612 thats true. Maybe if an automatic car crashes in London, the Italians should pay up. After all, the Romans shouldnt have built the city like that without thinking about the cars driving around 2,000 years later…
The sad thing is that most people don't want ai art for any sort of monetary reasons or anything, they just want to express themselves, and they can't on their own. Ai lets them do that, and it would be a beautiful thing if it werent the way it is.
@ultrasoftmood what's a humor? I don't think I have that. Let me tell you this, even Musk admitted that there are dangers in AI. Put that in your mind, and this; complacency will be our doom. Always remember that.
@Gabrielle’s Life yeah I agree. But I also think artists shouldn't use ai at all just so the people who make them don't profit it from stealing original art to fuel their ais
My partner isn't really a great artist in the technical sense but every now and again they make these dumb little doodles for me.
At no point will AI come even close to replacing that.
or Sora is just a time machine and capture past occurrence of someone during period when gravity havent invented yet
