AI scripts don’t have to be better than human written scripts. They just have to be cheaper for the media company versus having people on payroll. They’ll get adopted if they’re cheaper and worse - it’s just about money.
We’re going to get a lot of really shit shows and people are going to blame the striking writers instead of the studios. It sucks.
Your show only has to make half the…
All of this stuff brings in more problems than it solves. The tech industry now exists to serve itself. AI in particular, has been so eagerly eaten up by the search companies, but it is unlikely to be useful to us...but will make the data they collect from us more valuable.
Literally the first sentence states that he created the images using photos of real children. Thats deepfake porn, not generated from nothing.
i generally tend to not believe ChatGPT about anything it says about itself - the answer can wildly change depending on prior context of the conversation.
also are you flirting with me!!
LLMs are hardly the only AI. The hype around them has been... massively overblown. They're capable of some pretty cool things, but there are some serious issues regarding security and accuracy that cannot be easily fixed because they're intrinsic to the technology. The tech industry goes through hype cycles like this to generate VC funding. We saw this to varying degrees with VR, 3D screens, bloc…
It provides horrible results. First three pages is just ai-generated pages and advertisements.
99% of the times I use DDG. It did take some time to get used to bit when you are you feel like Google is horrible
The push toward biometric verification just feels like a focus on mining and selling data. Social media (et al) can't profit from selling the data associated with bots, so it needs some way to differentiate between us meat-people and AI.
Seems less like a gated community and more like a zoo where we're an exhibit.
Well that settles it, guess we should all just clock in at Walmart and call it a day. Clearly the endgame is the rest of us scraping by on minimum wage while the ultra-rich rack up yachts, mansions, and whatever cosmetic procedure is trending this week.
Tiny flaw in their super dooper genius plan though: it only works if regular people can actually afford to buy their stuff. And if AI keeps repl…
This COULD be countered by another advantage of self-driving cars: instant communication. Let's look at this scenario again.
A heavy load of objects falls on front of your car. It swerves right, but avoids any impact as every other vehicle (being self-driving) immediately moves in sync with your car, organically dissapating the distortion in traffic caused by you not dying. We don't make a danger…
I never thought of this, so I decided to ask AI to help me design lessons for my middle schoolers. After watching this video I tried role playing with it (I.e. “You’re a 7th-8th grade special education teacher and you’re about to teach a unit on blah blah blah…) rather than have it form-fill a lesson plan with the info I’d given it (I still did my own research!). Let me tell you… night and day di…
I’ve been getting so much AI skip, generated bs, insincere generated crap, and google searching has been abysmal with the overflow of robo slop.
And now you’ve been recommended to me. I’ve hated AI since the day it was conceptualized, and I’ve been trying so hard to boycott and fight back. And you just gave me so much power. This is the greatest video that’s ever been recommended to me.
I’m …
As someone building AI, i can definitely tell you that AI is going to replace most jobs and that all the new jobs created by AI will still be handled by AI, not humans.
These people knowing AI is going to destroy everything, affecting the younger generation but won't stop it.
Technology was supposed to make us freer, happier, provide cheaper food for everyone, and give us more time with our family? What a screw-up this century is!
This conversation is not about jobs that can be lost to AI, it’s about an extremely DANGEROUS existential threat of extinction. Very frightening!!
As a person who isnt familiar with the princess mananoke anime what i see in the picture comparison is the AI version uses saturation to draw attention and generate appeal, same with the expression. Compared to the original where light, colour, and expression is used to tell a story - asking you to consider the mood the colours give, what thoughts are going through her mind, the setting, what her…
I don't mean to sound heartless, but Chatgpt wasn't the issue. That man would have taken his own life regardless of an AI program existing or not. AI is a tool, like a gun.
Artificial intelligence has algorithms that let robots create their own new ideas by taking older concepts into account . They are like people learning new things everyday and changing their minds everyday. They might change their mind about humans and decide we must be eliminated.
Parents, take this as a warning and please monitor your teens social media usage if you allow them to partake. Also, please properly lock up your guns. AI is a horrible tool and this will only get worse with time.
