@nemhauser This is exactly what the ai folk is saying and want him to think. Some of the ai tools are marketed as direct replacement for artists, not to mention IP theft an masse. Not sure if you are just short sighted or part of the problem.

Elon is a part of OpenAI and has been involved in the ML systems of Tesla vehicles so I don't think it's a valid criticism. Hawking has been a social activist for technological warfare topics for years, both nuclear and AI. Could there have been better examples? Yes. But people may not have recognised the names, and therefore downgraded their apprehension of the topic. Unfortunate but necessary.
