One of my artist friends got “hired” to make assets for a videogame, worked on it for 2 years, then the guys from the videogame started ghosting her and saying they didn’t have the funds to pay her and the project was on hiatus. Few months later she found out they had taken her drawings and used them to feed their AI machine thing and started selling their AI shit instead, while still not wanting to pay her. The sad part was that she was so excited to work on a videogame that she was willing to sign an NDA and all her rights of ownership and her art away…
