A very useful counterargument to "AI is just a toll": Oh really? Then what about me, a professional artist, and any of you AI Bros going into a little challenge? We will make 2 images each. The first one, we do with our “tools” of choice. The second one, we swap “tools”. Both images will have a very out-of-the-box briefing, something that not many artists around the internet have done, or at least, is hard to find, and both will have small tweaks and fixes required after the first presentation. The delivery of a completely new image is prohibited at this stage, only minor corrections to the originally submitted image.
Note that this is a perfect trap to highlight all the flawed aspects of the AI image creation process. From the false claim that it is a tool, to highlighting the most glaring flaws of the generative AI process, such as correcting small flaws without redoing the entire drawing or generate something that has no reference in the training banks.
