I was with you until you interviewed the two people from Safe Streets Rebel. They have about as much credibility as the the clowns that throw soup on paintings. They think that stopping a Waymo by putting a cone on the hood demonstrates that the technology has a long way to go. Do they think that the car needs to have a humanoid robot that climbs out of the driver's seat, walks to the front of the car, removes the cone, sets the cone on the side of the road, then gets back in and continues driving? All that they've demonstrated is that the Waymo engineers didn't think of every way that closed-minded, fearful humans might try to rage against their innovation. Should the 19th century developers of automated looms and mills have foreseen the workers throwing their wooden shoes (Sabot) into the machines to break them? Ridiculous.
