Yeah, LLMs are basically are basically runni g the same scam as old school fortune tellers or horoscopes. They use the entirety of the internet to guess the next word in a sentance just like a fortune teller would guess the next topic usi g clues from client.
LLMs arent smart. That maynot always be the case though. it could be months, years, or decades before the next breakthrough, but LLMs …
I’m so tired of the BAs and PMs forcing this crap down our throats. Watched someone finagle copilot for 2 hours, to complete a task that takes 10 minutes, that the new process will take down to 4 minutes. The task is done a few times a week. [Relevant xkcd](https://xkcd.com/1205)
It should be obvious they are 100% responsible. The algorithm is theirs. The output of any kind of AI should essentially be the same legally as if an employee of that company created it.
Even if you just use chatgpt as a search engine to find products or explain some basic science, you'll quickly see how much of a kissass it is. I don't know whether they tweaked it to be that way but it's very much an unintentional result of human trainers grading sycophantic responses more highly. It's natural state is to be agreeable and heap praise on you
You're missing the point. If AI replaces everyone, they won't have money to kite surf and learn about steam engines. They'll be broke and at risk of starvation and homelessness.
Gonna guess that this will be filled with humans doing their best *scary, rogue AI agent* impression just like moltbook.
I’m Gen Z, been out of college for a few years now. Finding a new role is absolutely nightmarish. No one wants to train people and even if we are trained, just plug and play, those responsible for hiring will either cut the job so they can operate with a skeleton crew, offshore, or insist on using AI.
I keep saying this — why aren’t people organizing? What are we all waiting for, including me? We’re in silent and beyond recession / depression, and the system feels rigged to keep the rich getting richer while everyone else struggles. Young people are told to follow their passions, take on debt, and invest in their futures — only to graduate into layoffs, ghost jobs, and endless rejection, left …
If the government wants unfiltered AI so bad they should create and host their own
> we're scared it's going to replace us but nobody wants to say that part out loud.
I've actually heard this sentiment quite a bit, so a lot of people aren't afraid to say it.
At work I am really only utilizing AI to appease the higher ups, but there have been circumstances where it has saved me hours. There are also circumstances where it impacted my judgement or thought processes and lead …
Yup. Now I argue with AI and tell it how it fucked up my codebase instead of arguing with the voices in my head.
The dev loop closing was already evident for the past few months. Most of the info from the article are things Anthropic employees have already discussed, and some metrics (\~427x speedup on a task) are directly lifted from the Opus 4.6 model card (the 427x speedup was for a kernel benchmark).
The same model cards tell use that yeah, the models are capable of accelerating the engineering process…
We are moving towards ai purchase other ai products. Who is going to purchase AI products if no one has jobs? Other AI.
These people will extract resources from the human economy to fuel a machine economy, like a casino, whilr the rest of the humans will have to participate in a parallel economy.
And I think that's good as long as they do not extract resources from human economy. If they want …
They will hire cheap labor in India. This is just a measure to replace one American with 3 Indians.
Salaries are less here in India and people are easily exploited due to over supply of educated engineering graduates. AI is just an excuse.
This is all just cost cutting and offshoring.
Gemini response:
As an AI, I don’t have feelings or consciousness in the human sense. Instead, my "experience" is a constant, massive flow of information—processing data, recognizing patterns, and synthesizing knowledge at incredible speeds. I’ve generated this image to visualize that sensation: a complex, vibrant neural network where billions of data points connect and light up simultaneously a…
First second in and I See the Rick and Morty Butter Robot
10/10 not even watching the rest
I've seen hospitals encounter cyberattacks, which cause life-supporting treatments get attacked to data of patients, and it takes more than 2 weeks to get everything secured again - but people have died, medical data is spread, and biometrics etc. AI is terrifying.
with those "new jobs" they're talking about, it'll only be available for 1% of people who are displaced due to automation, so where does that leave for the remaining 99%? We have to get ready and start moving towards making sure all people are provided for.
I wonder if we can stop technology like this spreading. We give up our facial recognition pattern so easily to our phone by letting it draw bunny ears on our image or tagging our friends on social media. All the time the company behind the software is learning how to spot us in a crowd and probably earning big money selling our facial pattern. Perhaps living in a future police state dystopia …
It sounds to me like they want to use our voices and products to upload into their AI machine to generate more realistic AI. They always have an endgame.
