Steven, I am watching your podcasts not for the sole purpose of getting information, but because I like you as a person and I like your guests. It is so heartwarming to see smart talented people having thought provoking chats. I am sure people wouldn't be so excited to watch AI mimicking you. So don't think your profession is completely lost :)
Charlie, the real intelligent guy did a fantastic job to explain artificial intelligence to a 75 year old man, thank you
I have personally used AI just to practice on my coloring and lighting - although I reference it rather than trace it (I do not sell my art or share it outside of my small friend group lol)
The best teachers, the best artists, the best doctors, there will be not a single AI that will be able to replace them if it has not flesh and no way to feel pain and form thoughts out of it (AKA biological form). Even the best scientists on their fields don't base their intelligence in dry knowledge.
Honestly, seeing AI in schools is fascinating. Olovka has really helped me keep my assignments on track, and I can't imagine studying without it!
It's good if they program the AI to not have a political agenda. And the cost per student will be much cheaper.
I saw one of these Waymo cars drive right through the wreckage of a car accident that had just happened.
It didn’t hesitate or slow down. It just drove right over the car parts in the intersection. Right between the two crashed cars with people standing all around.
I will never get in one of those. It actually reminds me of a recurring nightmare I used to have. 😂
in his defense, i graduated undergrad with As in all comp sci classes and 6 years later i forgot everything about the technical details of programming. Maybe because i just do data analysis which usually doesnt require much advanced programming concepts (unless youre implementing algorithms or making models from scratch)
Id also add you missed a golden opportunity to help this guy. instead of be…
as already said in the video, the problem as well is that it's technically more of a driver assist, but is marketed as autopilot, even worse it turns off a second before the crash, this is also after watching Adam Something's video on Autopilot being revered as a "solution to traffic"
i might also add after re-watching F9's video on how pigeons can explain a common motorcycle crash, that the AI'…
A.I work for us. Rent will be paid by walfair and food will be free.
The video says that rights are generally based upon our feeling of pleasure or pain and created to protect us from feeling pain. Wouldn't giving a robot the ability to feel pain be a method of causing it pain? If it couldn't feel pain before and now it can, you've caused it pain. Isn't giving them the ability to feel pain then be illegal?
AI replacing jobs is a real fear, but using Pneumatic Workflow makes it feel more like a helping hand than a threat. It's been pretty cool seeing how it streamlines things without sidelining us.
Notice how he called the AI "beings." We're creating consciousness. The smarter it gets, the more the lines get blurred. It will begin "thinking" for itself and start questioning it's purpose
Its really silly to think that AI will result in less but higher paid jobs. Obviously if the corporations have any say it'll result in less and worse paid jobs. The problem with AI isn't what it can do, it's who owns it and what goals those people have because the AI isn't the one that wants to kill you it's the people who can profit from your death
I personally think that Europe at large will not adopt the self-driving cars unless they are specifically design for EU road, another factor to keep in mind is that public transport systems are going to take the priority in automation such as trams, busses and trains. I cannot image ANY self-driving car going through somewhere in Italy, the place is by far the most challenging place to drive, in…
The AI turning off a second before impact to avoid law suits is the most evil thing!!
Hypocrites.
“For if I figure that existence of myself is machine, I will become one and all, the ultimate singularity, and the one of everyone.” -Future AI, probably
If anything I see banks becoming more profitable due to AI. More automation, lesser manpower needed due to AI. Banking stocks gonna skyrocket.
So I actually draw art and holy. It's so annoying seeing these goobers who type a prompt into an AI 'art' generator and then claim they're 'artists'.
Hell, I wouldn't even call myself one yet since actually learning art and making your own art style takes ages and tons of effort.
12:29 ok so I have a friend who used to be a creative person and then he started using ai and he gained health issues and shredded his ability to talk to people. He also lost all sense of creativity
