A month ago the same AI knew about badmouthing ppl in DMs, wondered if friends were acquaintances, and tried to tell a person how to make a proper apology….we saw how that turned out

ai doesn't steal art any more than a person who goes to an expressionist art gallery 'steals' the art there when he paints an expressionist piece in the same style. artists just want to all feel unique and special

So you're scared of AI and computer animated graphics...? Because this is not real.. please tell me your joking right?

@joycegriffin1290This might help explain: there are no images in AI art generators. They are not storing any images, or combining them, or referencing them. The AI just have a knowledge of language and of art, and from that it builds an image.

@Brogon_the_10st, no one of the biggest rules in art is no stealing and that’s all AI does. You aren’t an artist, you don’t even own the art you make legally because you don’t have copyright.

As individual with some solid playtime in this game this existence the idea of futuristic dystopian society was laughable in my 20s(2000s). Even as I reckoned with how much technological advancement I had witnessed just in those 20 years it was an outlandish idea. It felt like 100 years would have to pass before we got to a point where we delegated everything to technology and fully devalued huma…

@Jupa As much as I’d like to agree, plenty of artists just never get exposure regardless of their skill thanks to over saturation. I’m imagining ai generated art and human art alike would suffer from that

Though i would be wary doing this. Chatgpt is very easily influenced by loaded questions, and will end up agreeing with you(even if you are down right wrong) more often than not.

This a.i. stuff involves everyone get paid same amount of universal credit when jobs cease to exist. Enough to survive but not thrive. If that's not slavery I don't know what is.

I'm gonna start distilling wood liquor. I learned about it from another chubbyemu video, and it's not AI so it should work 👍

It's less about the tech itself and more about how it was used. Imagine if these were only trained in actually public domain images(you know, like how they do with music AI because they're afraid of record labels), and then you overfit it with your own art and nobody else but you gets to use the overfit. It would be godsend to artists who can no longer paint/draw due to a medical condition. Tho…

@eyme.x you are correct and I’m getting into nursing because I’m compassionate but the truth is I won’t be good at my job unless I’m about my skill and my business

@MadBroStudioIt sure is nice to live in a society where people are almost always automatically disqualified from getting a job if they don't have a car or can't drive, but at least you have the freedom to drive to IHOP at 3 AM.

I really like this. At first, I thought AI would take over all coding jobs, but when you think about it, you still need someone to guide and check the AI’s work. Someone who understands code.

Even then you don’t really need ai for stuff like that, there’s other resources that do it better online

@CodexPermutatio Of course I know she is actually an expert but her blinkered view on a) what constitutes an existential threat and b) how AI could facilitate this possibility, c) how she dismisses the notion entirely, and d) how she thinks even considering the idea of AI danger would detract from combating the "present threats of mis-information" - all point to an irrational personality. I ponde…

@laurentbergeronmusic I think the direction itself elicits a creative thinking process from the director, which gives it the "human touch". Though something can be said about your argument: does the process prompt generation, curating and nudging the AI into creating the right end product count as using some small degree of "artistic direction"?
