You should have made this video with a deepfake of you to showcase the problem :P

This is the first level take I have heard and it reflects my own experience. Due to its ability to search vast quantities of data and generate answers quickly I am able to get much more done at my job, yet the AI still could not do my job by itself.

Dude... that was one of the most accurate descriptions of GPT/generative LLMs I've ever heard by... well I was going to say 'a non-programmer' but that was better than how most programmers describe it! I developed early predictive text system for people with cognitive and motion difficulties and it's so frustrating to hear people act like generative systems "think" when it's probabilistic based o…

Privacy is already gone, there will never again be privacy or secracy, ESPECIALLY in the mind of A.I

AI is currently in a hype bubble. The people that think we are close to creating autonomous general intelligence don’t fully understand how the current AI technologies actually work. The breakthroughs required to create a long running AI capable of learning and having original thoughts have not been discovered yet.

16:57 It also sickens me that those Ai """""artists""""" only talk about physical disabilities and not also about other disabilities like for example ADHD.

Honestly I like the way the ai creates backgrounds and I'm definitely going to photobash them into references for complicated backgrounds. I already do it and ai will actually make it easier to come up with more specific things and styles instead of scrolling through Google photos for an hour

I think it would be hilarious if most taken advantage of artists posted 1000 or so crayon drawings to poison the well so to speak. Also "Adapt, accept or keep crying" Its kind of ironic since their crying was immense when Stable Diffusion announced that the next update was going to remove the ability to use artists names in the prompt.

AI is not coming for everyone's jobs anytime soon. I just graduated with a computer science degree. I have formal education on how AI works. I made my own AI for my senior project. I've been learning more since I graduated. I bought the AI hype back when I didn't know much. But now, with the more I learn, the less impressed I am with AI. There are some very serious, deep technical problems with …

@ildarion3367 Average Joe doesn't know anything about anything, be it law, tech, economics, logistics or nuclear power plant design. That's kinda the point of how modern society works: no single person can learn everything there is to know about every topic. That's why we have specialization. You choose a field and over time become proficient with it, while completely disregarding other fields an…

4. It actively prevents people see new artists 5. Its propagate misconception for people that art is easy to make 6. It dumbs down people by preventing them learning from our forefathers such as Andrew Loomis, JC Leyendecker, Howard Pyle, Osamu Tezuka 7. It antagonizes the clients to the artists by gaslighting them and impersonation and scams 8. It's a degeneracy to mankind as a whole using garba…

People (and bots) that are pro AI often use human terms to describe how AI operates, then based on that false framing and false assumptions, claim "AI is doing what humans do!" For example, the claim is: "AI reads books, then creates new text inspired by that! Same as people!!!" First, AI does not "read." Reading is a realtime, sequential action where the reader thinks and evaluates as it goes. …

Whenever somebody tells me about all the things they can be used for I get insanely curious about... WHY ARENT YOU DOING IT THEN!?!? What's stopping this specimen from walking up to random companies with the simple, implementable task of replacing their 10 best office/IT workers? He doesnt even have to do it himself, let an AI do it, while you're at it.

I'd like to make a comparison similar to the ones I've seen others make: I'm a barista. There are tools I use at work that make my job much easier. For example, we have an espresso machine that grinds the beans and puts them into pucks for us, so that we don't have to do the process of tamping the grounds and everything each time we make a drink. This is a good comparison to using tools in a digi…

@LightbringerDesigns We were never going to win the AI war because our executives are dipshits who have zero clue what they are doing with AI in the first place. AI is primarily effective as a research tool, and USA executives are actively trying to replace the entire usa workforce with it. Make no mistake, Generative AI should not, under any circumstance, be trained on data a company does not o…

@vinchino You are going off on a tangent, the issue has nothing to do with whether ai is inspired the same way humans are inspired. That's a separate philosophical argument. It's an interesting philosophical question whether or not ai learns like humans, but it doesn't pertain to the issue. The issue at the hand is whether ai companies have permission to train their ai on artists' works. They do…
