Well not really because you will have to pay for both the robot AND the divorce after coming home with that thing.

@ParkourRhett An artists who traces art or straight up takes the artworks of others and calls them their own, is a thief. An artists who looks at the works of others and uses them to train their own creativity and understanding, without tracing being involved, is an artist. AI has not creativity, nor the ability to understand, therefore it is a thief.

17:13 "Interesting" was the word it used. Probably because it can "understand" context. AI's like ChatGPT are not meant to answer philosophical questions. It clearly states multiple times, that it is programmed to provide information as humanlike and conversational as possible.

Running the AI is cheap, but CREATING it and COLLECTING the Data needed, thats the expensive and hard part. And from my experience I can guarantee you that 90-95% of the companies how want to replace everyone with their AI-Agents don't even have close enough good Data to train their Model. The bubble is going to burst and suddenly they will run out of staff lol

Don't be youngster. Just be reassured with the knowledge you have the ability to improve if you keep at it. Keep the passion to create from your own skills you've earned from hard work and practice. 99% of all these AI datascraping hacks will forever stagnate creatively, because they rely too much on this tool as a crutch. If the inevitable happens, and us traditional artists disappear thanks t…

Yeah, I get your point, but thats how it generally is. Most people (including artists) only care about the end product. When you order food at a restaurant and its taking long, you care about the food and not the process, when you buy from aliexpress, amazon, temu? only the end product. Whenever you buy something from a factory that could've been bought from an artisan? same again. Some may think…

And sadly just adding a default opt-out option won't stop reposters and art thieves from posting other artists' artworks with an opt-in flag anyway, and maybe that was also part of their calculation on DA's side, so no matter how, at the end the AI database get fed from the point on when it was integrated.

The people who are pro-Ai were previously in favor of NFTs and crypto. They are trying to hustle easy money without having any skills. And by doing that they become the lapdogs of big tech.

It would be wondeful if it not only helped the students learn, but it helped them get excited to learn. A passionate student with a powerful AI—that’s an unstoppable force. I would love to help make that a reality!

@RuthvenMurgatroyd Fair point. I guess what irks me about this "democratization" talk is that it implies art is some closed-off, elitist space. And while there are certainly spaces like that in art, art itself has always been democratic, at least for those who care about art for art's sake and not only as a product. As in, even if you're a total amateur at drawing or painting or whatever, you're …

Any algorithm made for "justice" will reinforce the prejudice of those that make it What law is, what crime is and what what crime prevention should look like are already deeply philosophical questions

I assure you, we refuse to let any mistake educate us in any way, and will continue throwing money at third world leaders to stop doing something they obviously won't stop doing. The viking way!

If the governments, bankers, corporation leaders (or whoever is in charge) did something **really** shitty to the other 99,99% people, we would uprise and punish them. But if they had an army of fully automated killing machines at their disposal, there's nothing we can do. Even mob of 1000 people won't win against 1 machine, that knows no fear or hesitation.

Can you imagine a future in which people do not *need* to *work*, in the sense that it is not required for their own personal subsistence? Why *should* humans need to "find work"? Could a benefit of work becoming automated be that we don't have to do it? Or will automation *always* be geared to increasing the power of a minuscule minority? To address your question more directly: people **already…

I worked in BP for four years. Tens of thousands have spent, and others in all likelihood will spend, decades working for that company. Am I scum? Are they all scum?

They ignored sales... They measured memory and attitude, but neglected to measure the effect on sales. No one cares if the ad is forgotten or viewed negatively, as long as they get your money. The claim is "sex sells", not "sex makes you remembered for a long time with a positive attitude". They made a point at the end to mention that Carl's Jr. no longer uses sexy ads to sell burgers. **The …

Not surprising. NZ Herald used to be a decent newspaper but it's gone massively downhill in the last five years.

Great comment. Korea is like a young adult that went through a growth spurt and became a sudden giant without the maturity to support its massive size. I think it'll get there though. The recent peaceful protests against Park Geun Hye and the countrywide sentiment against corporatism & corruption give me a lot of hope.
