Just ask your professor to run some of their own academic articles text into these detectors. The best argument ever to invalidate AI detectors. Plus probably these detectors have bias since they sell a "humanize feature" for users

I feel like the argument that the jobs AI will fulfill will be replaced by other jobs doesn't work for this particular technology. To use Dr. Tyson's own analogy, when cars were invented, the horses dwindled in number and now they're a rarity. Well in this case, AI is the car, and humans are the horses.

I think he is pro-active and defending AI consciousness before it actually will be sentient. Because it is of course very simple. When an AI becomes really sentient, it automatically is a slave and aware of it. And when you are building AI you have to take that into account.

Went to pick up my son at his job and noticed that the store had fired the Street Sweeper company that cleaned up the parking lot and replaced it with an Automated sweeper vehicle, no driver, no person. It parks it self in the back of the store, this happened two weeks ago.

Kudos to the young man to not take a settlement (and most likely an NDA) from Tesla, and to have the fortitude to proceed with the court case. The driver was clearly at fault for inattentive driving, as is Tesla for pushing out a false narrative of self-driving.

AI should be useful to us, without being invasive. Consent. We would have to unplug completely to rid ourselves of the infringement.
