Those projects sound mediocre if other people on other teams are joining as “devs” to finish up projects that should’ve been for IT.
My company is using AI for development but just as a tool. I don’t use Google much anymore and push things out faster, but it can’t automate 100%. I’ve been looking for improvements in the system and processes for other departments. I think the goal is to not be a…
India is just staying neutral and playing both sides. I don’t blame them given the west never fully committed to make India an ally and bring them in. Just look at the backflips they had to do for any defense orders. From the rhetoric I get the feeling India isn’t happy with the respect they got from the west.
Same as their CTO who said that creative jobs that AI can do shouldn't have existed in the first place lol. Hopefully they're going to have their leopards ate their face moment when they realise that AI replacing workfoce includes them.
I was thinking the same thing. The amount of details would require the friend listening to either be taking detailed notes or recording the explanation. Is this engagement with ChatGPT written by... ChatGPT?
If you’re unable to write your own emails and willing to go through 147 attempts with a LLM, AND also unable to simply reply to comments on your own thread without using ChatGPT, you have an entirely different problem homie.
I work in tech. And yeah. AI comes up with lots of non-functional, often dangerous, solutions. And you have to have someone smart enough to understand what they're doing to correct it.
Or you'll end up like the company that hit the news recently that deleted production assets.
Honestly AI is ruining everything so quickly, including the things it's good at. It's good at translation but it makes some bad mistakes that are obvious to a qualified human. That's fine if a human checks it, but often they don't. Now AI references itself, and that whole process degrades. Same with coding. And corporations don't want to use it to enhance human activity, they want to replace huma…
The "someone" here seems to be the author at The Verge. Why Taylor Swift? She asked for Taylor Swift. Why nude? She asked it for a "spicy" photo and passed the age gate that prompted.
Obviously AI being able to make nudes isn't news, and the headline that it happened unprompted is simply false. At best, the story here is that "spicy" should be replaced by something less euphemistic.
Current AI technology won't replace programmers but there may be new AI technologies that will. That being said, once you can replace SWEs with AI you'll be able to replace a whole lot of jobs with it.
I see coworkers dump excel files into Copilot and ask it to do analyses which would otherwise require careful data manipulation and advanced pivots. The results are usually wrong because GPT isn’t doing math.
I breaks my engineering heart that we have created an incredibly complicated simulation of human verbal reasoning, running in complex data centers full with silicon computational devices, …
Thank you! Sam I have PTSD amongst other physical disabilities. I'm not old. I live alone.
I am a former clinician in physical therapy for 15 years. I have a lot of insight into helping people like me.
I'm a veteran. I tried to get a service dog for PTSD. It is incredibly difficult.
There is a real use for chatgpt here. More than that, a need.
Specifically ChatGPT 4o or hopefully the new mo…
AI is just demolishing trust in education. It’s ruining trust everywhere. I think the next generation is going to either become functionally illiterate or they’ll go through an extremely paternalistic education system where there’s next to no trust afforded to students.
I genuinely can’t think of a way colleges and schools can safeguard against AI without just making it in person and either han…
This is needed all over the world, Ai has become the main source of misinformation and it's way harmful for society than most people think
You're right that his donation was on the top end and not at all just some token amount.
https://www.theverge.com/ai-artificial-intelligence/867947/openai-president-greg-brockman-trump-super-pac
Greg Brockman is the President of OpenAI and if aligning your personal beliefs/ethics and the businesses you work with and give your money to, this is as good a reason as any to move your business elsew…
Just another “all powerful AI is coming” post which only indicates that there is a panic in AI atmosphere about not creating enough profit.
I believe incoming crisis will be just for AI investors when this stupid bubble is burst possibly before 2028.
Stock footage is going to be hit the hardest, why bother hunting for a good stock footage clip/photo when AI can custom make one for you?
Yeah, for some reason, people put EXTREME credence in AI being PERFECT for some reason. "Oh, this guy has multiple forms of ID and six credit cards in a different name? Oh well, the AI can't be wrong, this guy must be a master criminal!"
When MA instituted it's wealth tax, almost no one who said they were gonna need left- they stayed and paid. No one likes to talk about how successful the tax is there, tho
Ai doesn't do a fucking thing to my self worth. But it'd be brutal for it to make my market value so low I couldn't afford to eat 🤷
clearly they have never seen I robot. and not yet can do these things?! if the world starts to fight for robots "rights", I'm out. come on, that's insane to think people will think I'm a bigot because I will never consider robots human. smh. God, please just take us now.
