06:09 I love how people losing their jobs to AI is framed as "people stop working".
It'll be a sad time when human creativity is no longer needed.
This also goes beyond art. Sure the idea of being able to AI generate the perfect song, movie, dance video, cartoon, book, etc, in a few decades time might be cool now but we'll lose passion for such things very quickly.
i might be too naive but i think (or hope, at least) that people who value art will never look at ai generated content as ‘art’. i think art by definition is meant to be personal and a product of a human being, conveying human emotions and/or thoughts (not exclusively, but mostly). i could never feel the same about an ai generated image and a painting, it’s like the opposite of what i’m looking f…
That car robot getting out the car with the, "Im Alive." Is so funny :)
Every time a self driving car Is involved in any fault the CEO and/or stockholder should be held liable as If they were driving. That's the ONLY way to fix this.
Programmers:
❌Automate routine work so that people concentrate on a carefree life full of entertainment and art.
✅Automate entertainment and art so that people forced to concentrate on boring routine work.
I think Hayao Miyazaki put it very well when he described AI art as "an insult to life itself." If it's possible to irreversibly infect datasets, I'd gladly opt in just for that.
These pro-AI nerds are probably the type who would throw themselves into the experience machine faster than you can read the synopsis of “Brave New World”.
main problem is, people are treating Tesla autopilot like a fully autonomous vehicle... if anything, people should treat Teslas like how pilots nowadays do with their airplanes.... they become Administrators, monitoring every detail they can while keeping their attention on the road.
If AI replaces people's jobs, these corporations are doomed: they will have no customers left. All our money will be to buy food and pay rent Nothing left for an OpenAI subscription, or invest in stocks. Wait for massive bankruptcies, a stock market crash.
Later at that evening, AI to another AI: “what a day, I had to talk to a FE, I’m exhausted.”
Ai is becoming genuinely terrifying. If it's this good now, imagine how it's gonna be in like 5 years. Then even non-artists will have to worry, because you wouldn't be able to trust anything.
If people aren't working, who is this automated world for. Who is buying the goods that those driverless trucks are delivering?.
AI: *fails art class*
also AI: time to become one with my ancestors.
humanity: 💀
Parents needs to wake up about the internet and technology. They always think they know what their children are doing on their devices for some odd reason. You don't. You have 0 idea. Watching your child across the room sitting on their phone isn't you watching their media use. It's not like watching them read a book where you can see the title on the cover and be assured you know they're reading…
Ankur, prompt engineering isn’t really a long-term career path. It’s a temporary phase while AI systems are still learning to understand humans better. Eventually, AI will outperform humans even in writing its own prompts — after all, generating and refining language is exactly what it does best.
Hi Zulaikha, You did an exceptional job of giving a unique intro to AI. I wish I had this info some 20 years ago. It could have changed my life completely
I just finished watching Eddy Burback's documentary/video essay about AI and then Hank uploads this??? I AM BEING FED YUM YUM YUM
One Open-AI founder wants to build a doomsday-bunker before AGI is published.
This is really true.
Haven’t the First Nations people suffered enough for several generations? Also, First Nations are the absolute antithesis of this hollow, mediocre and unsustainable imposition of AI and Data Centers
