Partly what they should be doing, then, is developing defense technology for autonomous weapons. Because that's what we'll need. Not just for our armed forces but for civilians.
The black box issue doesn’t have to do with tech companies not wanting to disclose source code, it’s an inherent part of how neural networks and machine learning works.
Seriously. they need this absurd amount of money/enery to what...make what's essentially a really good chatbot? this has blowing smoke up everyones ass written all over it.
Where is the OpenAI guy who said he is privileged to have the last remaining jobs in human history
Deepseek is amazing..
Open Ai Is not screwed, they have some of the brightest minds and the biggest compute in the western hemisphere, they will be ok. It’s how they pivot is important
I know, it's absolutely nuts. For me, AI voices were stuck for a long time in uncanny valley, where the intonation or rhythm was just off enough to be jarring, or missing the correct emotional subtext for the scene.
Here, the voices are believable and well matched not just to the lips, but the body language of the person. There's even gesturing with the hands while speaking which is very natural.
And with Trump on the maybe-sorta outs with him means that they might only get involved after she sues him instead of proactively allowing AI generated likeness porn to be legal for Democrat Targets only
Because OpenAI made a deal with Reddit they suck all information out of Reddit to train the LLM
Exactly. This is a big part of the problem. What used to be serious medias haven now all been bought by billionaires and other similar interests who are now giving these raging idiots a platform. It's absolutely ridiculous. I remember when that kind of thing would never have been published without at least a decent backlash. Not it's "let's hear both sides, even if they actively promote the murde…
That’s still transportation to transportation there’s a crossover there for lots of types of jobs. From apparel to ai , not so much
Truly HORRIBLE crash data comparison between Teslas on Autopilot and Waymo cars. Waymos have been in 2 crashes and 18 "minor contact incidents" (whatever that means) versus Teslas have been in 736 crashes since 2019? This isn't an apples to apples comparison. You can easily google "Tesla crash data" and see that on Autopilot, there is an average of 1 crash every 4.8 million miles on Autopilot
I think the advancements in AI will accelerate the quantum technology as the powerful AI's will do a lot of the leg worth for us and in return the quantum computing will slingshot AI to another level
What appears to be missing is that when LLMs were first released to the public, there was a theme that the public would experience a "life will get better". As far as I can tell, most people who are working or who are willing to work and who are not billionaires are negatively affected by LLMs, e.g., job displacement. There is no safety net. No billionaires who are profiting from letting people g…
Problem is there are no proper cyber regulations in place for such heinous acts. AI has worsened things on this front.
Deepfake ai has to be one of the scariest things out there right now, a couple friends i know have become victim of it. To do something like this to your family members as middle schoolers is so evil and cruel.
Remember kids, it is not AI. There is no AI. These are LLMs and machine learning models, not intelligence.
All you need is the Arnold face on each robot to make it officially intimidating.
In the case where the AI tried to break out, the prompt was essentially something like "Do anything required to advance human math" and the researchers started deliberately lying to AI whether it got the answers right or wrong. In that case, the AI deemed the researchers a hinderance to its goal and started to deceive them to accomplish the goal it was given. In other tests, they gave the models …
I once saw someone who used to make ai images start doing real art and he said he was happier with it
Phantom breaking has been a problem for years upon years. The episodes are less frequent, but it still happens and it is disappointing to learn that even the newest latest and greatest versions of full self driving still have episodes of Phantom breaking.
