Parents needs to wake up about the internet and technology. They always think they know what their children are doing on their devices for some odd reason. You don't. You have 0 idea. Watching your child across the room sitting on their phone isn't you watching their media use. It's not like watching them read a book where you can see the title on the cover and be assured you know they're reading what they're reading. You have absolutely no idea what they're doing on their devices. And they're not gonna be honest and tell you. They are human. Not your perfect child doll that does whatever you say. About a year ago i sat down with my 4yo niece to watch some youtube kids with her on an ipad she used. The amount of disturbing crap on yt kids is crazy! It was scary, it was violent, it was sexual, all content kids shouldn't be looking at. But it was everywhere on the clearly not moderated platform. I just told her we weren't gonna watch more of that and then i went to my older sister to tell her what i saw. Me who barely spend any time with my nieces and easily caught my niece watching this while my sister and brother in-law who see them every day had no idea. My sister was shocked and confused. Why? Why are you confused about not knowing about this when you're clearly not watching what she's consuming through your devices. How is this shocking and confusing to you? Then very recently i got into a conversation with my little brother and his girlfriend about what we watched as kids. Happy tree friends and such. My parents were in the same room and they were shocked to know we were watching disturbing things as children both at home and at school through school computers and then home computers. Again. WHY ARE YOU SHOCKED BY THIS? Yes my parents are great parents, but they, like every one else, don't watch what their kids are doing on the internet and such. They have no idea. All of YOU have no idea! WAKE UP! Because in todays AI world, your kids are in more danger than ever by the content and technology that are right there in front of them. They have FULL ACCESS. You're all just not realizing and accepting that. Most parents are naive and or in denial about this. I hope everyone reading this takes this personally. Because if you don't you're in denial. It's as simple as that.
