Well, techinically anyone can make art, it's just a matter of if it has technical skill. That's what's more frusturating about ai bros and ai in general, they act like someone can't just pick up a pencil and make art, which they can, and even if it isn't the best I'd respect it way more than ai art. Some of them act like artists are gatekeeping and not allowing them to make art, like they say ai …
Instead of a robot, I would say they put a the song in speakers and there's nothing different from listening from your phone...
A.I., flexing the fact that it will tell a blatant lie just to confuse you. So you’re at least a liar, right?
“ *Yes* “ - 🗿
Yeah I saw something like that too, it's a really good analogy! A similar one would be having an AI watch a movie for you and tell you how it ended-
@LordWarBucketActually I have to agree with this too. Because Ai art generators are not using making anything original. It's stealing from others to "make" art. Just a buncho sloooooop 😮💨.
@100c0c And we don't mind other artists being inspired by us. We give our consent to them, but we don't give it to AI. Regardless of whether you think it makes sense or not, consent is ours to give, for our own reasons.
@paulw5039ai commissioners are the same type of people who'd make memes about people with art degrees working at mcdonalds because they're jealous. this trend is defined by envy, spite, and self-doubt from the type of guy to buy a smart salt shaker
also one big difference between ai generated images and the automatic loom is that the artificial intelligences that will supposedly replace artists a…
You're exactly right. They couldn't create anything on their own because they're not artists. But they actually believe they create something when they use AI. If someone then lifted their AI "creation" they'd be furious.
Honestly aren't the 85% of those people who say that AI art bros who want to bully you?
I don't like drawing conclusions, but I wouldn't be surprised based on many of their behaviour.
It really is not taking your art and that’s the problem. If people actually research how this AI works and how the code works this would not be a problem. The AI is TRAINED on others artwork. That is the key word here TRAINED. It then learns what certain things look like and learns what certain styles are like. After it dose this and it is trained it no longer pulls these images from the internet…
Going to be living in Chiang Mai this summer while I do research for my masters. The temple/mountain is now my #1 spot to go to. Great description dude!
I look forward to welcoming our Canadian friends and brothers.
PS: My condolences to my American friends who didn't vote for the orange haired shit gibbon, but shit's fucked.
I gonna defend capitalism here a bit, downvote as you see fit.
The thing that money does well in comparison to socialism is that it gives intensive to do the „dirty“ jobs, aka the necessary ones no one wants to do by forcing people into it.( this is still a problem, but one that’s hard to overcome as long as we can’t automate everything) The other thing is a automated guide for needs of people. …
I'm pretty torn on this. Facial recognition should not be used as evidence, but using it to narrow the field of suspects, why not.
I work in the FR industry... AT BEST, FR is about 90% accurate... In order to get that level of accuracy, cameras must be positioned at a correct angle (between 30 and 45 degrees) at a height of 10-12 feet. Surprisingly, image clarity is not as significant as you might think...
That said, most of our customers average about a 75% accuracy.
Currently, FR is based of an algorithm that assigns a n…
That's not the goal of this study. We're talking specifically about members of Congress, not the broader population. It was never the goal to dictate what the broader population of the is politicizing, but what the members of congress are politicizing. I'd be surprised if there are only 22% of congress members on twitter with how useful it is as a political tool.
Too little support from the government and the media doesn't help much, either.
When I watch the news, I don't see anything on this topic. I do see lots of stories about how the brave, brave politicians are working hard to keep the economy strong for big business.
The terrible mismanagement of this crisis has been frustrating for a year now. And now the FOURTH wave is rising.
Okay, but unless you are willing to pay more for sustainable products, you are contributing.
Although I find myself concerned to be agreeing with OP based on their username.
New construction sure. But AI isn't fixing a 120 yo residential houses plumbing anytime soon.
Or will students now need to learn an entirely new set of skills, since they can use large language models to do large parts of their future jobs?
