People saying the interview is staged have obviously never interacted with the latest AI models like ChatGpt. They can not only write poetry but can write complex essays and articles at the drop of a hat. They understand context and and what your questions REALLY mean based on your past interactions.
So i don't have any doubt that Sophia can interact the way she does. And given a decade they wou…
A whole area of work that is unlikely to be automated is raising children- babies, early childhood, teens. The quality of society is built at its core on how we are raised - our beliefs, attitudes, opinions, principles, ethics, empathy…..
And we need to do MUCH better at those jobs!!
Yes. Even simple android apps that I used Gemini pro for. As soon as it gets complex it has problems....writing over already fixed code or deleting it...becomes a cluster f... quickly if you don't know how to guide it properly 😅
I feel the main complaints about AI are the way many services take artwork without compensation and charge to have them mixed into new images. If they added royalties and consent it would be fine.
THIS VIDEO IS INCREDIBLE!!! As someone who is considered disabled, it is infuriating to hear people say ai can help disabled people with creating art. I have spent my whole life not being able to pursue many activities and sports due to my health. Art is what allows me to express these feelings and emotions and is my way to feel like I am a human being.
My concern with AI is not the increase jobs by automation but rather the decrease of human / natural intelligence. Strengthen that as much as you can and I guarantee your jobs no matter what it is it will not be replaced.
She will become the best wife in the world for sure if she is the real AI robot instead of CG.
I worked in the industry in Kenya for 2 years, very exploitative! Pay and poor conditions!
We definitely need to see a trend of having algorithms aid the users rather than algorithms dictating the users.
YouTube and Instagram already has me addicted deeply in their platforms that it could be my fulltime job to use their platforms while rationally I would never choose that.
The interviewer cannot accept that AI gives us the illusion that it understands, but it does not. It does not abstract. It always uses millions of data points to generate a response. The mind does not use millions of data points to share ideas. It understands.
I admit that the word “understand” falls quite short. However, it is a good way of saying: “the machine is not doing the same thing as an …
over the last 200 years we’ve designed everything for HUMAN beings. it makes 100% sense for 99% of activities for the robot to be in human form to take over the human tasks we don’t wanna do
growing up in the early 2000’s I would have never imagined that we would have ended up here as a civilization. it makes me sad for what the world would possibly be like when my daughter is an adult. it genuinely hurts my heart for the children.
Ok, my biggest issue is how ai relationships never challenge or confront you. It is literally only able to be with agreeable with you because that’s what it is, a very smart parrot , a pull the string to make Barbie talk doll. There shouldn’t be this many people who can fall in love with that because it shows that a lot of people don’t want that confrontation but that is needed to grow as a bette…
what if the role that was instructed involved taking action? in future developments and applications of chatgpt ?
@Dyan Bermeo yep the virtual world is unintentionally primed for AI to take over with ease. The physical world is where people have an advantage, at least until advanced robots have a significant population.
The AI rarely pushes back. It is very agreeable. In fact, it kisses your ass almost always. It validates every opinion you have. It tells you how smart and insightful you are with every question you pose. Blatant bigotry and dangerous, physical aggression toward others is about the only thing it won't validate, and even then it can blur the lines sometimes.
People confuse Software Engineers with Programmers/Coders. A lot of software engineers also maintain systems, review PRs, fix bugs, do research, do cross-team communication and many others. And it's still pretty dumb overall (can't really create big reliable and secure systems). In many cases, especially when creating new frameworks or technologies, everything is super secretive and only interna…
@rongooden6545 Yes but you need to remember, this is the worst this technology will ever be. It will continue to improve at an extremely rapid pace. We’re not far off from having almost completely indistinguishable ai voices
@scott_huntsUh, yes it is. Because AI affects the job market negatively, relies on material made by people without their consent (often for malicious intent) and is used to make a profit without any effort.
a robot works 24/7 no human can do that.
and to be honest we do not need manual labor, but we do need a system where humans don't starve to death because they can't do any jobs.
