Long term, maybe.  In the short term, it is literally creating new jobs. The company I work for has hired 4 people this year alone to work as subject matter experts in AI. With the current state of things, I don't see them, the other developers, or the CEO losing their jobs any time too soon.

Yup, and the EU is butthurt that silicon valley happened in the US.
