Nobody is asking for OpenAI to act as law enforcement — just that they convey plausible threats to the appropriate authorities.
Beyond that: if OpenAI is going to let their product be used like it's an attorney, psychiatrist, doctor, or other licensed professional, then they should absolutely be held liable to the same extent.
