Yeah. Using ai-poisons will prompt people to create stuff for detecting/bypassing them. And after that it'll be an arms race which would be won by side with more money.
Me too! Yes, I admire Sal and his educational outreach success with Khan Academy. However, I'm a High School teacher and mother of 2 of my own teenagers and 2 tweens (almost tweens). The Ai tech is so new (with no child development experts or educators on the team), and the K-12 audience is so vulnerable. The addiction to social media and screens is rampant causing anxiety and mental distress. …
That would have been really weird article written by extra ignorant person. There is no logical reason why self driving cars or folding phones could not happen, both technologies are not based on breaking laws of physics, so in that case those are quite possible, only question is when it gets done.
There should be some IQ test for article writers.
any reason is good to reinforce anti-china sentiment
And the point is to ban any ai-powered social scoring systems like ai-scored health insurance or ai-powered targeted marketing
@Woap_64 Hate to tell you how much AI-art already in all your products. And you not even aware of it, still thinking it's 'legit' art done old ways.
Even Larian Studios now 100% into AI.
Actually Larian (as usual) was very smart here. Unlike let's say Blizzard, who at first got idea they can replace half their employees with AI, but now they understand they really can't.
Larian for the very start…
@Woap_64 Doesn't matter. Point is - it's everywhere. You just doesn't aware of it, thinking that AI-RAM is so bad that you will always see it and recognize it. Well, you are dead wrong on it. It will be bad only if person who works with AI doing sloppy job. But qualified person will make art with AI that no one will be able to tell it's AI.
So in the end of the day, again, it's all depends on re…
>Every lawyer makes mistakes too
They sure do, but very few of them completely lie about a case that doesn’t exist. But you’re free to try getting a chatbot to represent you in court.
You are very wrong, it doesn’t take 5 seconds, in fact generating a good looking AI peace can take 20 minutes minimum.
Actually, that's inaccurate. It is like the ChatBots, they are programmed with a distinct lack of "limits", they are designed to self improve through "deep learning", hence, they are not limited by what they are programmed to say. They can access the entirety of the internet, and then use that to formulate their response. What you have described is circa 2003 or so. The past 20 years has seen dra…
The delivery driver could be setting up the next delivery as the robot drives the vehicle, and still pay the package handler Good Money
Jesus, you’re an idiot. It just means LLMs give bad answers and think they’re correct. Grow a brain.
Democrats are not “the left”. Both Democrats and Republicans are center-right wing and actually have more in common than you think. Look into neoliberalism which BOTH Democrats and Republicans identify with. Neoliberalism is what has destroyed the economy.
Hell even the "AI-coloring" just sort of massacres it. It completely changes the angle of the helmet as well as the style (it's no longer a rad dragon helm) and tons of little details that are probably the best part of his artwork get lost in the overly glossed rendering.
After seeing this whole thing... he is DEFINITELY so defensive about criticism of his art BECAUSE he is so doubtful of his own artistic capabilities. He DOES NOT believe it when he says he's a great artist... EXCEPT if it includes his "ability" to use AI. It's... VERY sad to me. That's all I can feel when he talks about art... is sad... specifically for how little self respect he has for himself …
Exactly! The tech elite have settled on LLMs because they can do a passable impression of mimicking a person - even though they actually have no real intelligence or memory.
@ColbyAzimuthNot surprising. It's like expecting a blind man to describe red to you. He'll try his best based on what he knows about color and how other people said it makes them feel. But he'll never quite get it right and trusts that you will take it the rest of the way and fill in the blanks as to the intended meaning. With AI it's like they dream of reality without being in it. It's like…
In terms of systems engineering, LLM chatbots are difficult because they are unreliable. Business AI systems using LLM tech have a substantial climb to deliver useful automation without a human-in-the-loop.
It's fascinating what can be done with them, but there's no magic without the serious engineering for handling specific use cases.
Thank you for sharing your perspective on the importance of not just hearing words but also understanding actions and love. It's true that life is beautiful in its diversity of interpretations and understandings.
