The scariest part is the chat AI has less of a language barrier than people do
Let's abolish capitalism and go from there. Robots/ai is only insidious because insidious people created it. And I'm all for a 'baseline of ethics'.
Anyone who uses Claude Op. 4.6 will never go back to Gemini or ChatGPT again.
These people must be stopped. I’m curious what was he whistleblowing about?
Edit: Researched, he was going to be a witness about copyright infringement. Funny how so many whistleblowers end up “suicidal” ain’t it?? They need to investigate Sam Altman ceo of OpenAI
@AtkinsMedia Have you tried writing software with AI ? I'm talking something with decent level of complexity and I exclude the standard web/phone apps that are client/server with frontends and just put stuff into DBs ? I have tried, the amount of s$$t it produce is insane. Low supportability, low quality, bad performance and even worse security. AI will not replace us. It is a tool to help us.
@raphaellubbers1759 no you're right, AI under capitalism exasturbated an issue that was already festering thanks to the place of art under capitalism. but damn how I hate assholes who get mad at the victims of the systems for being upset about the system
also not all art is commercial, but yes advertising has long been the easiest industry to break into as an artist... which is not the case any…
@rickallen9099 We don't mock AI, we mock the attempt to submit nonexistent citations without verifying that they're real.
@aelitastone-k7t Yeah, thing is, no one will put the time into that tool. I can easily make AI create a character that I want with just a description. The only effort with AI you are putting in, is the time to write what you want it to create. That's barely effort either.
There was a recent news article about the Tesla AI asking a minor to send nudes... they gotta regulate this shit.
I have come across a lot of videos on AI so far. This is definitely the most precise and presentable tutorial. Kudos to the creators for sharing such an amazing work. Thanks a lot.
The irony of this episode dropping exactly when Pete Hegseth blacklisted anthropic for not wanting to play his wargames is astounding...
Just watched 2 Waymos stuck in an industrial area parking lot trying to wither find a passenger or a way out. One kept circling the lot as the other moved seemingly in an avoidance pattern. Both periodically honking when they backed. No idea how it finally got resolved. Waymo problems than I need in my life right now.
I heard a conspiracy theory once that contemporary art, or specifically, those videos of people making fun of contemporary/performative art, were created specifically to create a false narrative that different art has different value. The idea is, if people see different art as having different value, it dissolves the practice of creation into "making it look good" instead of expression of the so…
4 years later and this is pretty much reality. AI face recognition + FPV drones.
This isn't an AI problem. This is a Reddit problem. The more broad the scope Subreddit the more likely it will be run by gatekeeping assholes. The guy didn't lose his job he just got banned from a subreddit.
Yeah I don’t even like how people call it “AI art”. They are mangled images being forced together
I'd say the fear is covid could have very well set the ball in motion. Businesses are getting pinched, the virus appears to be hanging around possibly well into 2022 en masse with vaccine issues, robots dont get sick or need days off, and I'd say paying $5999 for a robot vs at least $32000 CDN for a human is a pretty tantalizing offer. Business are going to be looking at every way to maximize spe…
It's upsetting to me just how much private interests have ruined all the cool shit about technology.
AI and other tech could be an otherworldly improvement to everyone's quality of life. The productivity increase could mean we can work less and enjoy our lives more. Outsourcing of menial labour could mean we can spend more time doing interesting things. I'd even bet artists would be less oppose…
I’m a writing tutor and the writing AI irritates me. Writing is a huge part of life whether you realize it or not. Writing generally seems like it has more protections but it can be hard to spot. The AI essays I’ve read aren’t bad but they aren’t great either. I’m concerned that big companies are now going to turn to AI for their writing projects even though their quality is worse.
very convinced this is ragebait, no shot that these ai slop producers are being genuinely serious abt this
