What type using and almost all of us are using is about 2 years behind what's being done in secret labs. I write and train ai models and we are way beyond anything that most people know. AGI will be in the general public by 2030 by 2035 it will be built into robots. By 2040 we'll be at 50% unemployment or higher. The world will get crazy and very brutal for another 15 years after that if we survive that we will do great but that chance and how slow government moves is incredibly low.
