I agree with you but allow me to push back. Students are not only using AI to learn but a combination of traditional textbooks researching online and using AI to clarify complex topics. My students have learnt and understood The US Electoral College system much quicker than before. Looking at explanation from me the teacher, the textbooks YouTube videos and then using AI at home to clarify and close gaps where they may have missed some concepts. Ai is here and it's not going anywhere why dont we recognise, accept it and prepare our children for the future which will he heavily AI driven. When students are writing exams they will use pen and paper so in that moment that's when we assess understanding.
