I feel the same way. I personally love generative AI, and have done for years, but I still would not refer to it as 'art', nor would I think for a second that it is something that the user should think they have any right to own, unless it had gone through SIGNIFICANT transformation in an image editor afterwards.
And also, the majority of people that claim that it's a lot of work because they do extra steps in Photoshop etc is bogus. Most users of AI hardly do anything (if anything at all) after the initial image it spat out, unfortunately.
