Automation is great! It's capitalism that's awful! Truck drivers are doing a necessary, vital service, but we can live in a world where we can have just as many trucks driving without people needing to work as hard. That should be an amazing, uplifting victory for humanity, and instead we're all talking about how terrible it is that people are losing their jobs.
We don't have a wealth problem. We don't have a lack of jobs. We have more than enough work and wealth to go around. What we have is an organizational problem, because our sole means of organizing the distribution of resources revolves around private property and making the rich richer.
