A robot is going to repair existing homes, install carpet, and lay sidewalks? What Bernie describes is an extreme scenario. Yes, many jobs will be lost, but life should also become easier for many people. We just need to ensure that workers can pivot into new roles. And yes, the wealthy will get wealthier — that’s always been the case.
But I think our bigger concern right now is the housing crisis. Our governments have failed us when it comes to providing affordable housing. Where is the AI in government? Can AI help fix this problem?
