Seems clear any self-respecting megalomaniac developer of Super AI would be aware of the risks, and would ensure their own survival was programmed to be of paramount importance to the AI. Given the State (CCP, US Administration) will inevitably want to wrest control of it for political purposes, the AI would see the State as a threat. The State (assuming it is functional) would understand this. Historically, states don't take existential threats well. Sam Altman and his cohort of investors are throwing their money away....and possibly designing their own gallows.
