The real reason is because were so desensitized to sitting down and working on something people just don't want to put in the effort, that's the sad reality. I suck at drawing, I can definitely develop the skill but whats easier? Having a computer do it in a few minutes. I can thank constant stimulation from Youtube, music, video games, and whatever for that. Same with coding, writing and so many other things as well. People even read AI stories now. I think a good argument/example for the art community would be, as someone who loves to consume media (Anime, Movies, Books, etc) would you find enjoyment in reading/watching a movie/anime that had a script written by AI? No. Because you'd clearly doubt its capabilities to create cross references and reference actual human experiences/emotion. Whether or not AI actually can do those things is another story, but I don't think it'll ever be able to evolve from there. Not to mention the developmental implications for younger people, because if its not our mental capacity expanding whats left for us to evolve?
