Unfortunately, I think things will get much worse for real artists (and everyone else). The tech is in its infancy and will only get better and better. I don't know what the answer is. Luckily most of the AI models aren't yet profitable for their creators. Hopefully it stays that way. Corporations are going to pick the cheapest input. IF AI art is significantly cheaper and they don't face too much backlash from consumers....we are cooked at that point. I am not convinced that the average person cares that much about the source of a given piece of art. I hope I am wrong.
