About 10-12 months ago I was speaking to a support tech for a company for probably 10 minutes to sort out an issue I was having.. Everything seemed perfectly normal until the last couple of minutes in the conversation when she used some unusual turns of phrase that were so strange it made me question the entire conversation I'd had with her. Could she have been an AI bot I wondered after ending the phone call; to this day I'm still not sure but this LaMDA news definitely makes it seem more plausible.
