AI is just fulfilling our dream, really our basic life-drive to become like "God" omniscient and omnipotent. We've all heard the advice to be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. Well, that advice is so rarely heeded, you might as well just forget it. We get what we want and then find out it's not what what we really wanted, that it comes with consequences we could have seen but did not want to see. Now, we who live in those parts of the world at the forefront of tech "progress", really a minority of the earth's people, are going to need some major psycho-cultural adjustments...UBI and seeking out ways to find a sense of purpose beyond our work. Expect chaos.
