For me what's really important is granting this type of AI emotions. Generally the more intelligent and with information you are the more you tend to be less violent/racist/in general hatefull, But there are also exeption, intelligent sociopath and psychopath tend to have no mercy even when incredible intelligent, simply for assence of empathy and feeling, so it should be our priority to give ai emotion and empathy if we want them to be our companion and caretaker in our species travel.
