The only use cases consider AI "Art" acceptable are
A) Creating non-sensical images for something quick and innoculous, like "we need a colourful background for the list of drinks for todays private party", and
B) Creators of novels/Games, etc. that contain pictures using them as placeholders to set the tone until the actual art is done by an actual person. I've seen a case of someone using early generation fauly images to create an interesting story of a constantly changing world where nothing really makes sense and the environment is ever shifting - but that again is actual art. A challenge a writer sets themselves to create something new and unique from thousands of poorly done copies.
I usually try to ignore AI images because I can't just ignore all those horrible little details in it that make no sense, and running talented and inspired people out of business just so that untalented and uninspired people can self-agrandize themselves while lining the pockets of big companies just never felt justifyable.
