I think it would be bad to underestimate the power of a nation like Russia totally committing to a wartime economy with no holds barred. They are weak corrupt morons, but they also can turn more and more of their state into a juggernaut war machine which has no care for their own populations rights.
And if worst comes to worse, and the global order is dissolving, Europe will likely find themselves quite isolated
