While it's both compelling and concerning. I personally believe that things could be slightly different. Let's remember that this (AI) is a global resources, de-localizable and cheap. Therefore it's fair to believe that this phenomena could be globally shared. And while on paper that's what could happen, in the reality it will face a point for disruption which is when normal people stops buying and using services. If 20% of people over a year stop being part of a nation economy that will lead to a major financial crisis. And while if I'm a nation exporting to another one a resource that's lacking it's one thing, but if no other nation needs your product then you are out of the market.
In other words, if you remove people from working, less people will be a consumer, therefore demands drops. Companies will have armies of AI working for other AI companies but no consumer, the market will self collapse. ( Clearly this collapse will not be exonerated from harsh consequences but still).
