@christofincognito4530delulu land thinking xD you probably cant tell an LLM from machine learning without having an llm explain the difference. Perfect demonstration of how LLMs degrade critical thinking skills. AI experts everywhere with absolutely no knowledge.
It’s not the robots, you watch to many movies. It’s the computers and the interconnected networks that control everything. AI does not need a robot.
If the car were to hit a person I promise you the Waymo lawyers would try to blame him for it.
That should be a signal that what you learn in college is nowhere useful in the real world, if all you need to do to pass is rely on ChatGPT. Then of course, some people are so numb that even the best AI cannot help them.
"Fatal Tesla crash"
"You have no idea how little that narrows it down."
"Fatal Tesla self-driving crash?"
"I swear you're being vague on purpose!"
It's right there in the name: Large Language Model. It's basically a disembodied broca's area. That in itself is an amazing achievement, but it doesn't have the ability to actually think about a problem and come to a reasoned conclusion. But it sure can spit out some words that look like they were written by someone who did.
After the bubble bursts, and the subsequent recovery, decades from now …
No. The split to watch for at this point is not east and west.
It is Ukraine and Crimea.
Crimea is the most Pro-Russian. Though not necessarily pro Yanukovych.
It is the area Putin has the most vested interest in due to the Naval port the Russians are renting from Ukraine.
Crimea is also already an Autonomous Region. It has voted before for independence but had it denied. I could very well…
Trust me, I live in Korea the space program was only a face saving exercise.
It pains South Korea that a country as poor as North Korea can launch a satellite into space without paying Russia a billion dollars.
So, South Korea did what any shamed Asian nation would do, it tried to one-up their rival by sending a female into space.
She was nothing more than a prop. Her quitting has not s…
After college, I was turned down from a job teaching English in Taiwan because I was... ready for this, Chinese. Yes, I was discriminated against in a country that almost homogeneously shares my ethnicity, they preferred blonde haired blue eyed Americans. At least I had a shot. I was told blacks and Hispanics need not apply.
> they will be unwilling to cede technological supremacy
Pretty much this. The US military needs to stay on top, and they will pursue any of these avenues if it's what's necessary to maintain their superiority. We already know that Russia is developing their latest tank with the goal of eventually being a remotely controlled, and potentially fully autonomous, vehicle. The US will be doing it …
The Cathars were a major branch of Christianity who solved this by the realization that God was the Devil and that the entire world was created by the Devil to torment humans in an endless cycle of reincarnated human spirits, which explained not only the problem of evil, but why God was evidently such a dick in scripture. Jesus was a messenger sent by the real God to show a way for human spirits…
If the oil execs are only making 80k a year, I am a flying pig.
They won't give a crap. They probably won't live to see it. And if they do they won't be affected by it.
Exxon is the worst of the worst. They reject climate science and hire PR to spread misinformation (like the tobacco companies before em).

After WW2 we had to evacuate many people from the area that Russia captured, and they were given new land. It isn't done anymore of course. It was just because they had to leave their homes.
I think having the worst internet in the world will make up for our high emissions.
The other countries were already donating money to foreign aid, most of them at a higher percentage than the US. Now they are donating even more to this particular program to pick up the slack.
And the US will still be donating that money because it's allocated in the budget but instead of going to organisations who teach full sexual education including that abortions are a thing, the money wil…
Alright, so this thread seems to have lots of confusion in it. I'm going to try my best to write out what the Mexico City Policy actually does without my personal opinion/bias.
The policy requires foreign non-governmental organizations to certify that they will not “perform or actively promote abortion as a method of family planning” with non-U.S. funds as a condition for receiving U.S. global …
This is why I think the only real solution is make caring about environment profitable. Tax pollution. Reward most environmental companies. Getting rid of capitalism is the right thing to do but not feasible within next 100 years and by then we all will be dead as a species.
That comes from lean. People today are required to do a lot more tasks in their jobs. It's more like when a robot takes a humans job, it takes 80% of it. The remaining 20% gets loaded on the people who stay ... who gladly do it to keep their jobs.
