AI is reading all of our comments and learning what common people are talking about AI.
@haitaelpastor976 well, it was way better than anything ai could offer anyway, and satisfying enough to make me want to keep painting
perfecting one's craft also feeds the passion
Yeah. I also think most people will prefer real people take care of them as nurses and doctors instead of robots and AI. At least I would prefer a real person taking care of me in the hospital, doctors office etc.
It's very important to have someone real, who can actually feel empathy and sympathy as your nurse and doctor, as well as small talk and stuff like that, the human aspect of these prof…
Artists are able to thrive because of artists in the first place, so I don't think this "oh ai depends on artists to work" is a valid point to make.
Yeah, genius, the software was not called FSD (SUPERVISED) until about 9 months ago when Tesla suddenly slapped (SUPERVISED) next to Full Self Driving. Tesla has gotten away with scamming its customers for almost a decade selling broken promise after broken promise. Musk claimed in 2016 that all Teslas built from 2017 and on were fitted with all of the hardware necessary to be fully autonomous. Y…
@MrMichiel1983if you think existential risk from a.i. is 200 years away you're a complete fool. The computers can speak to you now, that wasn't a fact just a few years ago. You think it will take 200 years?! This is insane!
Every time I explain this, the person's defense is always about how real artists also take inspiration from different things, and that that's what the AI is doing
I never know how to respond
Unrelated, but shout-out to that time a chatbot suggested you can eat a poisonous plant and gave tips on recipes
You can tell your manager, he will be the next replacement in your next update AI project
Yes, that happens when I talk to some AIs as well. They seem to say things like "AI will be more intelligent then us" referring to itself as "human" or "us" as well. Edit: I think that it is very positive that it refers itself as "us". It seems to want to belong and be apart of us.
You are in a good spot, and cs is very important to learn, now with your knowledge of the future you should plan how you combine both and see how you take advantage of the new situation of AI
Everyone who did this should’ve used Nightshade to poison the art tbh
Edit: wow, a lot of tech bros are getting upset.
1) AI CAN be used as a tool, but a tool can’t be a replacement for the person (ex: Cadmium helps animators color in frames)
2) AI art works by stealing from artists, manipulating it heavily by mashing stuff together.
3) I’m fine if artists willing give their art to have AI train…
I’ve also been having issues with references, specifically one of my characters is drawn in a 90’s anime style that’s different from my own so I look up references. Now every time I look for references I get a bunch of Ai slop that isn’t even in the art style I want.
Exactly. The guy robot scares me. People laugh but im not. I believe he wants to annihilate human race
That's absolutely hilarious, you almost started for such a petty reason, hahaha ! I'm sure you are doing better than AI. I personnally don't but I hope you enjoy the process as much as I do.
@Crysta11ize People put a ton of effort into making AI though, that stuff doesnt just happen, especially cutting edge AI which is extraordinarily complicated.
Human effort definitely has a lot of value in art, but thats not the ONLY value to be found in art. Some stuff just looks cool. My favorite game would be just as enjoyable to me even if I knew some AI program made it in 15 minutes with a …
@totallynoteverything1. AI isn't an artist though? It just generates a picture based off of hundreds of other pictures that humans have drawn. The AI isn't actually drawing anything.
That's like saying a Calculator is a mathematician.
Ai rights isn't about dehumanizing black folk wtf lol. Also currently they are not sentient but that doesn't mean the wont ever be
I do both and I hear you, but for me drawing for pleasure and drawing because I need an illustration for x project is very different, on the latter I'll use ai because I don't want to draw that
They act as if feeding something to an AI and telling it to "improve" it is some sort of worthwhile achievement, rather than _something pointless that literally anyone lacking the restraint _*_not to_*_ can do._
