Yeah, genius, the software was not called FSD (SUPERVISED) until about 9 months ago when Tesla suddenly slapped (SUPERVISED) next to Full Self Driving. Tesla has gotten away with scamming its customers for almost a decade selling broken promise after broken promise. Musk claimed in 2016 that all Teslas built from 2017 and on were fitted with all of the hardware necessary to be fully autonomous. Yet that was a bold face lie. Musk said your Tesla on FSD would be fully capable of driving coast to coast in the United States without any human intervention by the end of 2017. It’s end of 2025 and Tesla still hasn’t come close to that. Teslas built from 2017 to 2024 with Tesla’s HW3 computer can’t even continue receiving “FSD” software updates, even though people paid $6000-$15,000 (USD) for this software based on Musk’s false promises. Thousands of injuries are occurring every year in the U.S. alone from this half baked software being beta tested on public roads by untrained average Joes who listen to Musk’s claims that the software is “sentient” and good enough for a robotaxi service to open up in various American cities. It’s all a ploy to prop up Tesla’s stock. There is no other company on Earth that could have gotten away with selling a software functionality for almost a decade and fail to ever release what was promised (FULL SELF DRIVING… not this half baked L2 ADAS), yet face no consequences. Tesla should have to at minimum refund all of the customers who paid for this software, yet never got what they paid for and change the name of the software, as well as retract all of their misleading and intentionally dishonest claims about what FSD will ever be. No car that uses a pair of low resolution basic optical cameras and zero alternative sensing capabilities will EVER be good enough for full autonomy.
