@Crysta11ize People put a ton of effort into making AI though, that stuff doesnt just happen, especially cutting edge AI which is extraordinarily complicated. Human effort definitely has a lot of value in art, but thats not the ONLY value to be found in art. Some stuff just looks cool. My favorite game would be just as enjoyable to me even if I knew some AI program made it in 15 minutes with a click of a button. I wouldnt care, because my favorite video game is fun to me because its fun, not because I knew some person took a lot of effort to make it. Now, I definitely appreciate the effort people put into making stuff, but that doesnt always enhance my enjoyment of something. Some things are just inherently enjoyable to me regardless of how much effort was actually put into it. However, there are also many times when it comes to art where the effort required to make it DOES enhance its value too. And in those situations I do agree that the journey to the final piece is half the enjoyment. This is why AI art can never fully replace human Art. But the point is that its not just the difficulty that goes into a piece that makes it enjoyable. To many people, art does have inherently enjoyable qualities, which would be independent of the difficulty required to make that art. In those situations it wouldnt really matter if an AI made it with the click of a button, or a human made it after a week of hard work. if an artwork is inherently enjoyable, then it doesnt matter how it came to be, it would still have that quality.
