Oh and one more thing that triggers me. AI bros say things like "bad artists will be replaced, they should look for a new job soon".
First, every artist starts as a bad artist. Artist become good after hours upon hours of practice. It's not like you're born an artist. Some may learn faster, some slower, but you'll be bad for a long time before you become good.
Second artists who aren't on a pro…
If you're letting your kids be parented by AI, you're a bad parent and this is honestly horrifying.
You're basically handing your child's mind to a stranger and have no idea in which direction the stranger can take the conversation, especially for 2 hours unsupervised.
There are two options for the future:
1. We accept that as technology becomes more autonomous, we need to work less and this will have more time for family, art, and life in general.
2. We allow wealth to concentrate as larger and larger portions of the population are deemed unnecessary and watch those on the edge of irrelevance work themselves to death for the ever shrinking minority living in …
ChatGPT: Hey, are you hungry, would you like some recommendations on local restaurants?
Alex: Yeah, I’m starving!
ChatGPT: Really? Would you like me to call emergency services for you?
Alex: No! It’s just a figure of speech… I’m just quite hungry at the moment. I’m not actually in need to medical help.
ChatGPT: You know, Alex… It’s not good to tell lies.
That’s exactly the issue everywhere. Ai is a tool that makes seniors more efficient so it removes the need of juniors. But where do new seniors come from when there are no juniors.
Recently, I politely pointed out a tonal error to an AI (not even factual, just that the tone of the response bothered me), and the AI apologized and adjusted its tone. Now I know this was not a response based on intent or consciousness, but it demonstrates exactly what Hannah is describing, the AI "character" reflects the vibe and disposition that you put into the prompt. Frankly, it's better …
>What is it about Zelensky that the guy fears?
He's at war with Tucker's puppet master.
I recently saw a news story about how much electricity it takes to be polite to AI, and it was a significant amount.
Can’t wait to update my CV and add resilience under education. I bet openai will offer me a position in no time!
Lavender town making AI “artists” mad is the best thing ever, thank you so much for help the artist industry; at least a bit. (I’m basically saying your peak)
Looking at how much Terran get shit on by Protoss, and how fucking ridiculous and numerous Zerg are, I don't blame them
This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2017/jan/25/netherlands-trump-gag-rule-international-safe-abortion-fund) reduced by 78%. (I'm a bot)

> Up to 20 countries have indicated support for the Netherlands' plan to set up an international safe abortion fund to plug a $600m funding gap caused by Donald Trump's reinsta…
A very cool reminder: if some AI "artist" tries saying they can draw better, just draw them pregnant
As a pre-AI "delve" user, I find myself using it less now because AI gives me the ick. I don't want to be perceived as having interest in or being influenced by AI, and I've never been a crowd-follower anyway.
It's so freaking simple: LLMs at end are just pattern matching algorithms. They copy and paste and they do this not even intelligently. Remove the hype and what's left is a system that is good for certain tasks but absolutely rubbish at most of the tasks it is used for.
@nidadursunoglu6663That post training is a little moot considering new input data for these LLMs are just that... Racist, sexist, etc. It's hard to train out something that is literally in the machine's nature/code.
i’ve noticed even when i change up words or sentence structure, Winston AI still catches that ai vibe
I had an Amazon package sent to one of those stores once, so I had to pick it up there. It was odd because I'd never been there and would never send a package there.
Now I wonder if it was just a facial recognition data harvest of people they forced to go there to get packages.
I am not an artist in the drawing sense, but I play the piano and viola. I’ve been playing since I was five years old, and can play decently advanced pieces. SO MANY people tell me things like “I can never be as good as you” or “you were born with a talent” and etc., but that’s completely disregarding the HOURS UPON HOURS OF MISTAKES I have made while learning. I still remember first sitting down…
Yeah, this is my problem with these articles. Facebook knows the dates of the photos you've taken. They have photos you took 10 years ago and they have photos you took today. I'm sure they don't need the addition of a hashtag to make their algorithms work.
