I am not an artist in the drawing sense, but I play the piano and viola. I’ve been playing since I was five years old, and can play decently advanced pieces. SO MANY people tell me things like “I can never be as good as you” or “you were born with a talent” and etc., but that’s completely disregarding the HOURS UPON HOURS OF MISTAKES I have made while learning. I still remember first sitting down at the piano and thinking twinkle twinkle little star was the hardest song in the world. You can do what I do and be better than me. You can do what I do and be worse than me. The point isn’t how well you do, but the fact that you’re willing to do it. This applies to all of the art forms, theatre, dance, drawing/painting, music, ANYTHING. Sure, someone could AI an artwork and get the result they want, but you’re not learning anything at all. Is that not the point of existence, to create and learn?
