As a physics PhD, I haven't seen AI even doing post 1st year college physics/maths without spewing complete nonsense. The gaslighting argument "ai art is here to stay and you have to adapt or die" is like: "nuclear weapons are here to stay and you have to adapt to the idea of living in a bunker in a near future or die." I'm still thinking that the better choice is to ban nuclear weapons.
