As soon as people consider the AI to be a person, questions about rights and empowering the AI to be it's own person will creep in and Google will not only lose control but all their hard work and intellectual property will be at risk. It's strange they program the AIs to have feelings, if you can really call them that. The concept of feelings only makes sense to humans, but intelligence doesn't …

All of a sudden a lot of ai generated disney art got a whole lot less accurate

The irony of getting an Adobe Photoshop generative AI ad during this video. Ad space AI has seen AI art discussed and decided it's appropriate. Such perfect tech.

I mainly use AI as a... dictionary. Like a more advanced one that corrects your style of writing - not just individual words. I also use it for sifting through logs from machines, that's like search. I'm a software engineer 10 years on the job. When it comes to coding it can be good for small snippets, like 1kB of text - but that's just something it scraped from StackOverflow and regurgitated wit…

I started in the computer (IT) industry 61 years ago. The industry invents terminology to sell products, to convince you that a simple product is ''revolutionary''. The term ''artificial intelligence (AI)'' is a sales slogan to deliberately mislead you, because the industry knows that you assume that the word ''intelligence'' means human intelligence. But 'intelligence' in 'AI' is not human inte…

If a man who represents himself is a fool, a man who uses an AI lawyer is a bigger one.

The reason ai is dangerous is because if anyone who gets they’re hands on it with malicious intentions will corrupt the darn thing which will lead to ultimately ai turning. Ai is extremely logical not emotional obviously. It will use what it knows against you regardless at some point in time. Why not just evolve human experience instead of trying to go robotic full throttle. If you know what I me…

AI "artists" are like the people commissioning paintings; someone else is using their skill to paint the picture being commissioned.

The key to knowing is the background focus. If it doesn’t get blurry further away it’s AI.

As a physics PhD, I haven't seen AI even doing post 1st year college physics/maths without spewing complete nonsense. Even for writing, which is where LLMs are supposed to shine, it would constantly give nonsense and often wrongly factual statements. For me it was only useful to help find typos or structure my arguments. As a software engineer, LLMs are good at finding solutions that everyone kno…

As a writer Claude is Mile's ahead when editing and has a better understanding of nuance. Chat gtp has hallucinations and is incapable of assessing pushback i give it.

Ai artists are the embodiment of what people used to think digital artists were. “Oh we just use different tools” is bullshit. Because at least digital artists have to still use their tools to express their own ideas to create the final piece. I don’t understand why this shit is being used to do something so human instead of being used to make it easier for us to have the time to do things like …

I thank you sili I’ve been a pretty firm opponent of ai for years, it’s because of channels like this that I feel there’s hope for society

He’s right. The only reason Mullusk wants to pause Ai is for his own creation to catch up. It’s very evident.

My advice as a software developer.. Get into cybersecurity.. AI is producing SO MUCH bad, unsafe, redundant and slow code full of bugs.. In a couple of years when some of these companies realizes when they’ve been to optimistic about outsourcing jobs to AI - they’ll need a lot of people to fix all of this garbage code.

The gaslighting argument "ai art is here to stay and you have to adapt or die" is like: "nuclear weapons are here to stay and you have to adapt to the idea of living in a bunker in a near future or die." I'm still thinking that the better choice is to ban nuclear weapons.
