remember people, ai imagery isnt art!
and the "artificial intelligence" in question isnt intelligent! it is just an image algorithm!
bro, they had to do 90% of the work anyway, the ai was basically just a useless filter at that point
As a French law student, it was very funny when I asked ChatGPT to tell me about a very famous case in administrative law (Danthony) and it tells me that it is a video game lol. Also, it tends to mix up the courts, and even if you tell him to explain precisely a case, with the correct reference, it will always spit out generic case information that are definitely not true.
Should show him a LIDAR map, really eases the fear some people have about this tech. LIDAR literally maps it's 3d environment in microseconds, which is why they are so much better than human drivers. They understand it's 360degree surroundings better than anything ever could in a time frame impossible for any living thing to comprehend.
Waymo has been killin it with the driverless tech recently,…
If AI can replace politicians who have self interests and claim to represent you.......I'm all for it.
yeah the US has like 5 of the top 7 AI firms. Their AI laws (or lack thereof) have a massive impact on the rest of the world
It's also scary to think how this will breed ignorance. Why learn how something works when there's a machine to do that for you? People will just "set and forget" these AI tools and let them run our infrastructure, and entire societies will forget how to do things they once understood. I don't think it'll be a singularity, it'll just be a lousy solution that falls apart over time because not enou…
We already went through this during industrialization in late 19th and 20th century. Suddenly agriculture and production of goods became 100 times more efficient and 90% of farmers and craftsmen lost their jobs. There was high unemployment for a few years. But then people just found new jobs and everything went back to normal, with average people being richer than ever before.
Now it seems obvio…
Don't forget if AI takes everyone's jobs. Then no one is gonna buy company products. And it all flops
You should be aware that we are not all experiencing the same kind of internet let alone responses from this Ai tools. I've seen my cousins chat respond way differently than mine and when I try to replicate the same response I seem to hit a wall.
Come on. chatGPT can pass the Turing test. It is not intelligent enough to know to fail it. It does what it is instructed to do, without fail. Yet it is able to produce a semblance of sentience.
If After 4 Years knowingly half ass everything with ChatGPT, without further external motivation and discipline this kid is doomed.
@smoppet
I thought it was a jab at how AI is constantly making spelling and grammar errors. To me, none of this looks like it's actually trying to sell the product. It looks more like some kind of campaign to shock and scare people.
Because it is. OpenAI doesn't have enough consumer revenue to sustain itself. GAFAM just passes their money in a locked circle
They don’t just allow it, they actively use it.
When Disney sued Midjourney for copyright infringement, Midjourney revealed that Disney employees had accounts on their site.
Disney also added an AI research division a year ago and is trying to figure out how they can use it in their projects.
@marcusrosales3344 AI is just a glorified predictive text generator. It will NEVER be general intelligence.
Reminds me of that tweet from an ai bro like “do you know how HARD it is to type prompts for HOURS and to edit the image just to make it perfect?!”
ChatGPT was really fun and exciting when people were just using it for shits and giggles. Far less fun now that it's actively replacing entire industries. The sci-fi concept of actually having movie AI in real life has very quickly given way to the dystopian reality.
Right? Besides, this isn't "artificial intelligence" anyway. Artificially cognition is not the same as mere neuro monitoring and pattern tracking.
@miickydeath12 it doesn't seem like it was intentional. The engineers seemed pretty baffled by that survey. If I had to guess it has more to do with people intentionally inputting incorrect information to mess with the AI
