We all know Dickface McGee will excuse it away now as “We had to counter Commala’s AI-generated images somehow.” Then the moron base will normalize it as fighting fire with fire. Almost as if it were part of the plan all along….
I hate MAGA so much, mostly for their intolerant rage, but coming in a close second is their predictability.
All so some weirdo can make a post on here of a voice assistant moaning. I hate this reality.
I don't think so. Looks like he started with normal images and used AI to generate the porn.
> transform “normal” images of children into sexual abuse imagery, Greater Manchester police said... supplying photographs of children with whom they had contact in real life.
So a pedo scrapes a couple pictures from a victims Facebook and says "make x scene". This is why techies don't post pic…
Agreed. I already said I won’t be marching or protesting anything. I will be doing a silent economic protest. You don’t like me but you want my money? Nope. I will only be buying necessities (food, utilities, mortgage).
Was it the head of OpenAI that said recently that they define AGI as an AI that can make at least 100B USD in profits? We aren't the Federation. We aren't even the Terran Empire. We are the bloody Ferengi.
TL;DR - since the TT blackout, the algorithm appears to be heavily manipulated in favor of the ruling class.
To be fair, since the TT blackout, they’re doing the same thing as other US platforms by trying to force right wing beliefs, censoring left wing and “controversial” beliefs that don’t align with our current ruling party, and praising Trump for the revitalization of its app. The person in …
Americans will get a piece of tech they can verify themselves and say they can't trust news coming out of China.
OpenAI hasn't been spending money to create a model. They've been spending money to find a moat.
All industry analysis has said that foundational models would absolutely be commodified. Just happening a bit sooner then expected.
The moat is still capital investment, specifically hardware.
We’re just glossing over that this “small $6m startup” somehow has $1.5b worth of NVIDIA AI GPUs.
Have you opened a news website lately? What hope is there? The rich have taken over America, officially, not unofficially anymore. Like what is there even to be positive about. Im no doomer, I actually really like aI and think the doom is just ignorant people doing what ignorant people do. But AI aside, bruh the world sucks right now, its on fire. Sometimes literally. Every god damn world …
okay but like… y’all are acting like ‘that’s not X, it’s Y’ wasn’t iconic before the bots stole it. it’s giving ✨literary device✨. that’s just parallel structure with good marketing. blame tumblr, not GPT. it’s been a meme and a rhetorical flex since before AI knew how to spell. some of us just think in punchlines, ok?? sorry i grew up on internet discourse and shakespeare. let me have my dramati…
I’m worried the layoffs are just going to keep coming and get worse in the next few years as AI automation really hits. For now, we’re not seeing layoffs due to AI yet, but mostly layoffs due to companies trying to cut costs and become more “lean,” so I’m scared it’s only going to get worse from here.
The baby is innocent. It’s not AI’s fault its parents are assholes.
Asimov wrote about how robots will take over dangerous jobs and humanity can write poems all day. That’s what nerds like me dreamt about.
Today the robots are writing our poems and humans are doing the dangerous jobs so greedy sociopaths can hoard all the money. Nerds like me were so naive…
I can’t figure out how to edit the post but I did email for feedback although he has yet to get back to me and that was a few days ago. And yeah it’s really disappointing how much people rely on AI to do things for them.
This is exactly why I treat anyone in finance and management as an idiot. Because if you explain something technical to them they overreact.
Is it possible that an employee uses his own encryption algorithm to send out confidential company info? Yes. Do we need to do something about that? No. If someone does, then sue them. We don't need preemptive measures for tracking keystrokes.
No, I'm not sure if they did, but this is because the Pentagon is already well versed and heavily utilizes Claude/claude code, it is their service of choice.
It's actually an urban legend that Gandhi's AI became nuke-happy in the Civ games due to an underflow in his programmed aggression levels.
The truth is that Gandhi's AI hungers for nuclear war at all times, no matter what else is going on.
Even if Claude is more expensive, I will 100% support an AI company that just lost out on a $200B DoD contract because they refused to bend the knee to Trump and allow their tech to be used for mass surveillance of Americans and fully autonomous weapons.
Statement from Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei on our discussions with the Department of War

I believe deeply in the existential imp…
Not sure what your question is.
Basically I work in an org that is probably going to get skewered at Meta so they can pump more money into data centers or have claude do everything (until something catastrophically goes to shit).
We'll see, the vibes have been feeling off internally for a while. Something's been brewing for a few months.
WTF, bro I didn't even do ML(purely a backend distributed systems guy) but even I can do better than this guy
Atleast I know some stuff here and there, I can do decent math and I can atleast think a bit.
How did he even pass the interview?
While I'm suffering going deep reading DDIA, doing helloInterview + fighting with Claude about my design approach, this guy walks in a gets an ML job? …
I am shocked!! It’s almost as if everything people have been warning about how the us will use ai is completely accurate and the tech billionaires pushing this bullshit were lying to everyone about its benefits all along! I’m appalled! Shocked and appalled!!
