Idk why we let self driving cars be available to the public. They needed at least another decade of technology development and testing. I would say that since the other oncoming car had to slow down to let the self driving cars through was a bad judgement on the cars part. IMO a self driving car should be more efficient than a human, make better safer choices and not slow down the flow of traffic…

I recently had a conversation with ChatGPT about addiction. When ChatGPT offered to give me a suumary of our converstaion, I said that it wasn't necessary. Later, I made my own summary. I then asked the AI to revise it. Then I revised the AI's revision. The point is not to let AI do all the thinking for you. Write a letter, plan, solution to a problem, summary; ask AI to revise it; then revise i…

This is absolutely dangerous. We shouldn't be relying on Ai for education at all, let alone like this. We are shooting ourselves in the foot if we do this. Ai can never replace a teacher. This is absolutely backwards.

The risks are real not because it's powerful, but incredibly dumb. It's just a very expensive predictive text with still a propensity to "hallucinate". The more it's used for coding, the more likely some unforeseeable bug will creep into critical system and make it crash in never seen before, thus hard to fix, ways. As for "AI agents", it won't try to take over the world (it can't "think" like …

Having worked in computer vision for a while, I can say these neural nets, which Tesla uses, can already handle 97-99% of cases. They are incredibly advanced, even with foggy images. If the network finds the right path, it can infer the structure using temporal information, motion cues, and contrasting pixel information, among other methods. You might have heard how firefighters used to struggle…

"Yo check out this fakemon I created" "Yooo its so cool, what was the inspo for it?" "Idk lemme ask ChatGPT" Worst conversation ever

last semester i tried chatgpt for dense material, but Olovka AI ended up being my real lifesaver for keeping assignments organized

+0cards0 Then maybe we need to put chips in new born to make them self-automated walking machines aware of traffic laws.

That's a good point. At this point in time, using AI is unethical because of how the images are sourced, so yeah. Doing all this does kinda uplift AI even though artists are doing it with the opposite intent in mind, which is sad :(

sometimes they feel like they are to me, but im still closer to that level of skill than i ever was simply because i loved the art, thats what is important (and i dont even draw i use 3d abandonware making me "better" at art and dealing with sfm bullcrap more than ai artists lol)

the only way I would count them as artists is if they did everything from making there own A.I to drawing all the stuff it learns from

There is something missing in AI art... You begin to notice it far more frequently once you understand the meaning of art (either by seeing art from real human beings, or just trying and making it). AI art is too easy, it lacks a part the creator gives.

I’m speaking solely out of fact, not opinion here. These said data sets are biased, but statistically accurate. A normal person, morally trained, would treat all races with equal judgement in terms of deciding whether or not they would commit a crime. A robot, however, uses statistical trends to do so. It’s not racist, per se, it’s more of taking all the statistical values (occupation, living loc…

There isn't a job on this planet that can't be threatened by AI. Its even in my sector which is insurance field work. The only way this will change is if its found that consumers willingly choose the human instead of the cheap machine, frankly I'm not convinced they will.

Honestly I’ve loved making art my whole life, and I consider myself to be pretty good at it too. But this AI situation has made me loose all of my motivation to draw,, it’s sad how those assholes who are too lazy to do anything for themselves think they are so much better than actual artits

A lot of public AI models will actually refuse to draw anything violent or sexual in nature. It really forces you to be creative to work around it. I'm an artist, I'll always draw serious art with my own two hands, but there's something I just find so funny about forcing AI to draw the most specific nonsense you can think of that just wouldn't be anywhere near as funny if a human did it. Take, fo…

Not AI? ok...what is "AI"? What is a "search engine"? What is a "robot"? If you can build a better one, the world is waiting.
youtube AI Responsibility resp: none unclear mixed ♥ 51 → raw LLM
I'll let AI draw for me because I know I don't have that part myself. This allows me to focus on the part that is myself. AI images still require a prompt, an idea, a set of eyes to judge if the final product reflects that. It's not an amalgamation of everything because if you bother to look into it more than what corporations expose to the masses, you will see that you can chose from a number of…
